I agree. She's clearly the most wealthy of the bunch, but she dresses in such a tacky way. She needs to learn that less is more. It's interesting that she and her husband seem very down-to-earth, given their wealth. I was also interested in seeing her parents, thinking they'd be very Jersey-ish. They seemed lovely though. I wonder where Monique gets her street-talk from.

I truly don't think they understand that he has no more income coming in and won't for the next 40 years, that's not going to last at their burn rate and he doesn't appear to have many prospects on the horizon. The history books are full of professional athletes that have lost it all.

What are you basing this statement on? He can get a job just like anybody else. Plenty of former professional athletes have done it.

I am an ex athletes wife. Three years after retirement (8 year career...mid level athlete) we liquidified a lot and out 12.8 million in the bank. We get about 288k from interest yearly after a few continual investments are fed. It's plenty to live off of (especially since our house is paid off) but it's nothing to write home about. Monique may have double or triple that amount in the bank NOW but I will be curious to see what they are up to in 10 years. I've seen 17 friends file bankruptcy. About 1 in 19 college couches make 6 figures and 1 in 290 make 7 figures. All these dudes always think they can couch somewher

Sorry got cut off. They all think they can coach somewhere and be fibe. That's not the case hardly ever. Same with annoucing. My DH is a CPA but works very part time (70k a year at most) but it gives us benefits and something to keep him busy. I would say we have 40 athlete friends and the 23 that haven't gone broke have gotten crazy close. About 5 of us have been ok. It's sad but we never had money or knew anyone with a lick of it so we were vulnerable to so many mistakes. I wish I could ait down with Monique. That paster ain't nothing but a greedy manger/agent.

I think he's treating her like he treats his daughter -- who is about the same age as Ashley. My friend knows all of them, as her husband is a part owner of the bar/club L2 in Georgetown, and Ashley was a bartender there, which is how she met her husband in the first place.

I think she acts like a child. That last fight they had prior to the event they had at their restaurant was ridiculous. Every time he tried to talk, she cut him off and yelled at him. I remember thinking at the time I watched it "well, that's why he treats you like a child...b/c you act like one."

Agreed ! She's what, 28? And acts like she's 18. She married her sugar daddy but doesn't want to accept the consequences of that

Which is precisely why we chose Great Falls over Potomac. We prefer the more rural feel of GF, have zero interest in the schools or clubs you listed, and find the VA side of GF Park much more beautiful. But glad you're enjoying Potomac; your name-dropping only confirms the impression I already had.

Karen Huger is such a wannabe. That last episode, in Bermuda, was so telling. She really, honestly thinks she's somehow in the upper echelons of society. I thought it was so funny how Robyn decided she (Karen) needed to be told that she actually isn't "all that." And now Karen's moving to Great Falls?! I live here and it will be hilarious if she actually tries to turn herself into some kind of grande dame. We don't have grande dames here, Karen.

Also, why was she being so coy and secretive about where they're moving? I'm not sure I understand what her end game is. Glad to see none of the other women understood it either.

I like Monique. She may be a little rough around the edges, but she seems pretty down-to-earth - except for her outfits. She looks lovely when she's wearing her feminine maxi dresses, but when she strutted out in her tiny bikini and Daisy Dukes, I was dying.

As for Gizelle, I like her too. But I find it funny when she criticizes Monique for her urban-speak - Gizelle talks like that too! She's pretending she's so above that, but she's actually not.

Charrisse's voice/way of speaking is God-awful. It's a mixture of put-on faux British/baby-talk. I just can't stand it.

Robyn's boys are atrocious - the way the speak to her is really gross. And she just laughs. I like her, but she has made a BIG mistake in the way she's raising them. They're clearly getting their attitudes from Juan. Wake up, Robyn, and get out.

Karen is the worst.....she has no idea what the "American Cup" is all about.

Yes!! I was so embarrassed for her when she kept referring to it like that. Note to Karen: you are not as sophisticated as you think you are.

I feel bad for Karen. She obviously has no real money, no real friends, and is very very insecure. Her husband is prob 70 and done making money and they have to liquidate and downsize and lay low. She also probably never had more then 10 "rich" years. She didn't come from money and she didn't make enough to have her own children be worry free. I think she always aimed for that but he can only work so many years. She hasn't even been in the house she sold very long. I assumed she built it and raised her kids in it but she bought it 10 years ago on a foreclosure.

Why do you feel bad for her? Most people aren't wealthy but they don't pretend that they are. She's delusional......so maybe pity her but don't feel bad for her.
