Prep for an IQ test?????

What are the names of the schools your children attended? Are you interested in listing them on a public message board so you can be identified? The combination of names of schools my kids have attended would identify me to anyone from the schools my kids attended and the activities they were involved in. My kids are known by the kids still at their previous schools and organizations.

I actually don't care about the top or the best, that is just shorthand for knowing the general type of school my kids attend or attended. The parents of the children who spent so much time in test prep cared very much about the rank of schools and talked about it frequently. They were surprised at what they considered the "success" of my children because they had been told that the only way to be accepted to those schools was to get high scores on tests, so that is where they spent their time and money.

Aha. I love it. The backtracking begins. Disingenuous, dishonest, and a liar. You have proven, with your own words, that you are the real definition of a cheat and cheater, not the hardworking immigrant children you secretly envy for their drive, principles, focus, and hard work. You want us to believe that top ten and top twenty is simply shorthand for "knowing the general type of school attended by your children but are afraid to name one of these as you strut about like some peacock pounding you pancake breast tissue. You are a pathetic cheater and liar with absolutely no credibility to even talk about prepping for an IQ test. Good riddance.

Priceless.

Wow. Bullying and an empty barrel in one post. You clearly are not interested in an intelligent discussion but simply want to bully others who have a different viewpoint than your own.

And, btw, I'm not sure where you got there was any indication as to whether my children were "immigrant children" or not. I did not mention our immigrant status in any of my post.

You will have a hard time convincing this poster that deception and lying constitute an intelligent discussion. Go ahead, you have the floor.

Is this the same poster who always wants to know the exact courses that kids at TJ are taking? It really is poor internet etiquette to be asking people for identifying information about themselves, let alone their children.

Why the assumption that the poster is not an immigrant and the kids who had to go to test prep were immigrants? I wouldn't make assumptions about such things.

Some kids need test prep and it works for them, some kids don't need it, some kids do it for hours every week but it doesn't do any good. Some parents think test prep will work magic and are genuinely disappointed if they don't get the results they hope for. It's probably a good idea to avoid putting all your eggs in one basket.

You know, this site offers the option of posting under a recognizable name, even your real name, rather than anonymously. As the self-appointed arbiter of all things credible, you would do well to look into that. It might add some value (and credibility) to your own postings.

Rumor has it your top ten was referring to community colleges in the area.

You're either an epic troll or a sociopath. Either way, entertaining stuff. Keep it up.

My children are not in college yet (middle school and high school). I know you were quick to toss out top ten and top twenty colleges for where your successful children matriculated. I'm sure, based on your response, since these schools were obviously not HYPSM (Amherst, Williams, Swarthmore, Caltech, U of Chicago) you are hesitant to betray your credibility by stating the names of the colleges. We understand. You stand at a familiar intersection of many embellishers on these boards. I do give you the benefit of the doubt as top ten may mean top ten in NOVA!

I have put up, but you need to shut up. You started with no credibility. I'm not sure what you have left.

So, you have not gone through the college application process with one of your children yet? You may have a different perspective after you have.

What is your purpose with test prep? When you say that preparation leads to success, how do you define success? What do you want your children to get out of test prep? And not a list of aphorisms please, but specifics as to what you would see as a successful outcome to test prep for your children. Thanks.

Yes, it would be interesting if each of this person's posts were identified, even by a pseudonym. Although, they are pretty identifiable as by the same person even with out an account name tied to them.

So what's your point then.

Clearly so we could search by username and binge when we need a laugh.

What middle school and high school do your children go to? What classes do they take? What do they do outside of school and where do they do their activities?

I'm only asking because it seems that you're okay with sharing this type of information since you asked others to do the same.
