I'm really disappointed in many of the replies on here from assuming that behavior issues are related to "AA" and further bashing of the principal. I'm currently a parent with a child who attends LT & my child exceeds beyond the grade level standards and has learned so much from LT. The environment is diverse! Should it matter if a child is white or black? Or red or green! It's not that the principal doesn't want to hear the "white" voice (as stated in a previous reply) she's probably overwhelmed with the ignorant comments and suggestions, (similar to the comment that was initially made). She has to create an environment which all children are able to learn effectively, regardless of their race. If only as parents we would begin supporting a school that thrives to ensure that our children are learning beyond the standards set for DCPS.... Instead of relating behavioral problems with a race. Furthermore, what elementary have you ever been to that did not have a few bad kids? What's bad ? A child who's upset because they would prefer to come to school in PJ's and not their uniform? Or a child that may have a tantrum because they may have misplaced their favorite comfort toy? Does it really matter? Focus on controlling your own children and then maybe the school will be even better....
