RSCC office staff

I have tried getting details from the office and board members at various occasions and was either brushed off or received very little information. I got the feeling no one wanted to talk about it.

I give up trying to get details. No one is freely saying anything unasked. No one is freely saying anything when asked. So the posts continue.

Is that really so hard to figure out?? Maybe I was interested in sending my child there?

I just had tour there. As I was being led back inside from the play ground areas - a little girl - about 1.5 fell and was crying hysterically. The 4-5 daycare workers were all standing in a circle chatting. Another mom or employee saw this happening and tried to get the workers attention from outside the fence. No one budged. The lady giving me the tour was talking to someone else while all this was happening and she was oblivious to this as well. Finally - I saw a parent calm the girl down as he was getting his child.

This thread solidified my decision that this is not the place for my baby. Not to mention the price - outrageous! For those current customers who said this is a loving environment despite the administration...that is not what I saw on my tour.

I'm not sure this is true. Why would a parent even be on the playground in the middle of the day? My child is an infant at RSCC and receives amazing care. In addition, I've never seen anything even close to what you describe and I'm by the playground numerous times per day.

So because you didn't witness it personally for yourself, this ONE incident, it couldn't possibly be true? What's it like to be the actual center of the universe?

Very mature. Not PP but I agree, this does NOT sound like RSCC.

Hundreds of posts filled with parents raving about care and teachers - and one "observation." OK.

Just because lots of people like it doesn't mean it's the right place for everyone. We tried it out for a week and my daughter would run to me and burst into tears every time I came to pick her up, and was extremely clingy in the morning, not wanting me to leave. The place she has ended up going to was completely different. Never any crying or clinging, even in the first days! She obviously was sensing something at Rock Spring that did not work for her. I hated the afternoon playground arrangement. Total chaos.

Betsy was my favorite of all the people I met there, and the reason we considered it to begin with after our meeting and correspondence, but I couldn't justify choosing this for my daughter since she wouldn't even have been around Betsy.

I too am curious where Betsy has gone! I wish her well. What a nice person.

Another center of the universe.... You realize that things happen outside of your hearing and view, right? That there are LOADS of experiences taking place all around you. Somebody posts something on here that they witnessed and people call her a liar basically because they didn't see it? That's crazy.

Hahahhaha some people never grow up. Its obvious that some people are extremely bored wih their life and find it really fun to go on anonymous forums and write negative things of others. Get a life! If your not happy with the place go somewhere else, or if you already did then shut the hell up and find something productive to do with your life. Its abvious that you will never get any damn answers through this method of communication. Good-bye!!!!

As a parent, I've had many conversations with Betsy and from what I have gathered over the past year, Betsy was a two-faced manipulative person. She was great at putting on a front and being super sweet to your face but then talk crap about parents and even the staff (the office is not sound proof at all). Who knows what she has said about my family behind our backs?! This is not the kind of director that I want running my child's center. She lacked professional ethics...good riddance!

OMG! Thank you for posting. I thought I was the only parent at RSSC who felt Betsy was two-faced. I could tell she adored certain families...and mine was not one of them. I'll nevr forget the time I needed to ask her something and she was "busy" with another parent. Never acknowledged me as I waited and waited. The other parent ignored me too. They were having a personal conversation, which made me feel worse. Good riddance is right!

It seems the board agreed with you.

Well, I guess they'll have to let the other Director go then.
