+1 But it really took hold after the debut of the video for Black or White with the constant crotch-grabbing. |
One of the first people on this thread to say she believed he was innocent was a 53yo, and multiple self-professed millennials have described him as guilty. |
That makes sense. His fans are Gen X and boomers not millenials and Gen Z. MJ would be 60 something if still alive. He is the same age as Madonna. |

The black community was really cruel and joked about Michael “bleaching his skin” . My dad just said MJ was a self hating weirdo but I feel bad now learning from his autopsy that he actually did have vitiligo. It didn’t seem like Oprah even believed him when he said it to her.
He was destined to lose melanin due to genetics. He was not lying about that. As for the nose jobs, he first received one after breaking his nose during a dance rehearsal in 1979. Then in 1984, his hair and scalp caught on fire filming the Pepsi commercial. This happened while vitiligo was intensifying and he was touring all around the world and stressed It makes sense why he was in a battle with his body and face for so long |
Not buying it. Michael willingly turned himself into a freak through plastic surgery (on top of skin bleaching). Latoya followed Micheal into an addiction to body modification; Janet did not. Compare photos of Latoya with Janet. |
I'm 56, and I think if he's not guilty, his judgment was so exceptionally bad that he deserved the recrimination and lawsuits. |
Latoya did not bleach. This is her pre surgery. She was always lighter than Janet. Michael is in the bow tie. The mom is next to him. Black peoples don’t share the same skin color just because they’re related. They all got terrible nose jobs including Janet. This was before ethnic nose jobs were done right by surgeons. Too much cartilage was taken off. They all looked better here with their natural look and natural hair

He did bleach his skin for cosmetics. Word from the physicians that did it. |

Evidence to me that he was guilty:
1) So many witnesses. 3-4 independent people saw him in the s*x acts 2) Details on how his pen*s had distinguishing marks 3) The briefcase with p*rn was described accurately There was a lot of other circumstantial evidence I won't mention. Two things can be true at the same time. 1) a parent could be money motivated and 2) he can be a predator. |

I believe he had vitiligo, but that’s not what made him weird. What made him weird was having an abusive upbringing, being a closeted gay man, and most of all and the only really damning thing was being a pedophile.
There’s a reason the Leaving Neverland documentary is no longer stream on HBO. It’s very convincing and well outlined— he raped those two young boys, and probably others. I can’t listen to his music anymore. |
| Nope. |
| Michael was trans racial, trans gender, and trans generational. It’s bizarre to me that 12 year olds would admire Michael Jackson in 2003. Why not Justin Timberlake or someone modern? A millennial kid does not remember thriller. |
Both things about Michael can be true - he had body issues and also vitiligo. There still isn’t a full cure for vitiligo. For darker skinned people, it can be really traumatizing. Bleaching is or used to be a suggested treatment so the person would not have the different color patches. Of course, not as simple for someone in the public eye. I cringe hard when I hear the skin color jokes. I used to laugh but not after I understoood what he had. |
My dad had vitiligo. He was pretty traumatized by it, hiding behind long clothes, being embarrassed by his “raccoon eyes”, and avoiding the sun and the outdoors as much as possible. He would ask me to buy makeup for him in the 80s, and was mortified that he needed it. Vitiligo is worse the darker your original skin is. Bleaching your skin was the treatment then, to even out skin color differences. But that’s not why Michael Jackson was disgusting. It’s because he was a pedophile. |
For someone asexual he seemed to have a very robust porn collection esp child porn. He was disgusting. |
