Not true!

Florida is super MAGA. Whole state sucks!

You just hate MAGA success. Too bad for you.

I don't think very highly of most Floridians so I guess I wouldn't want to subject my child to so many of them.

Ha. Same. Hate the state.

UF is way too big…and hot.

However, most kids that I know that actually go to or have attended UF in recent years have LOVED their experience there (for what it's worth). It is very tough to get into these days though. It is also easy to graduate in 3 years or in a dual Bachelors and Masters program in 4 years because they accept SO MANY credits.

Nice!

You "hate the state"?

Florida has great weather, beautiful beaches, a growing economy, and a state flagship university ranked #30.

What does Maryland have, except a lower ranked flagship, shitty weather, and crabs?

Only issue with UF is a large amount of online classes at least for Business majors. Was a showstopper for our family.

LOL. It’s not a cult.

Penn State is a cult!

My son wants to do computer science. Do the alligators actually come on campus?

Alligators live on campus at lake Alice.

There are about 5,000 k-12 schools in the state of florida which serve almost 3 million k-12 students. Some are excellent, some are horrible and most are somewhere in between. Just like ANYWHERE ELSE.

How many Floridians do you know? Do you realize it’s a state of 22 million people from very diverse backgrounds?

I graduated from Uf in 2011. Loved my time there so much. It’s a great school, Gainesville is a fun college town, and met a lot of wonderful people there. For reference/if you care: I’m extremely liberal and found plenty of like-minded people at UF.

Now is a good time to learn that your college experience was so long ago its not relevant to current applicants.
