This show! OMG her voice. The way she interrupts him. His actual, adult, real, intelligent friends must feel very sorry for them. I wonder who they actually socialize with. Do they socialize with Jerry Seinfeld and wife? He’s so much older than her. And smarter! Gah. It’s so, so gross.

I watched three episodes of their show and HOLY CRAP. Even her 10 yr old thinks she's ridiculous. The 10 yr old got told she was fabulous for mixing ingredients in a bowl and rolled her eyes.

They kept talking about how difficult the trial was for THEM. Never mind how difficult the trial must be for the family of the woman who DIED because of him.

My dad is not in great shape, but is 10 years older than Alec and walks much better than him.

What is with these rich and famous people never putting in the time and effort to train their dogs so they don't wind up with poop all over their homes?

Why does their 10 yr old have her own phone and go on social media?

Why does Hilaria's accent go in and out? It's not code switching bc it's there for one "confessional" and not for the next. When she talks to her kids it's a pure American accent.

There's a, "Comedians in cars getting coffee" with Seinfield and Alec and Alec talks about how great his wife is. Seinfeld isn't having it.

I loved the show. Found it messy and honest. Yes, they do talk about how difficult it was for them. But it was. It's pretty taboo as a topic but I've read a great article (in the New Yorker) and listened to a good podcast (this is really happening) about accidental killers. They do have trauma, huge amounts of it. It doesn't mean the victim's family doesn't matter or their pain is not valid. And the trial was a bit of a farce. Is Hilaria supremely annoying? Yes! But she makes for interesting viewing. Alec is funny and charismatic. The dogs are typically of most rich people dogs, and yes, the kids are not parented enough in terms of rules. I hope they have a second season.

If he's smart there must be something about HIlaria that appeals to him enough that he's willing to overlook whatever he perceives as the negatives about her.

I am making assumptions here but I think it says a lot about people that when faced with a choice to a.) continue living a pretty high standard of life - perhaps not in NYC but in a nice home in a nice place with nice schools and things - and retreating out of fame gradually because the older actor half of the couple is retirement age and it might be nice to spend more time at home OR b.) do a reality show that makes life chaotic for your kids and means you have to discuss releatedly how your husband accidentally murdered someone which is so painful on so many levels so that you can make more money and maintain two houses in two very expensive locations which no one needs, they choose b.
