Give it time.

Long way to go to catch up with the Hayfield football post. I'm hoping that one gets to 500 pages!

😂 I’m going to choose to have me not work too. Life is about choices. Can I also choose to have some money to support my new choice?

You’d be surprised what a family can afford on one income - it requires sacrifices though. You absolutely can be a stay at home parent if you have a smaller house or townhome.

Reid just sent a weird email - cancelling activities on school grounds for tonight and tomorrow am. Then she says we are looking forward to the returning to school on Monday…but the forecast may have other plans.

Yes, it was strangely worded and strangely short. Did someone else write it? Maybe Reid has the flu, like my kids.

No one wants the kids out in a dangerous situation. People are not "bitter" they are realistic. Some on here are cheering for lots of snow, that is the issue. Cheering for a snow day is not thoughtful when there are health care workers who must work, seniors and disabled people who must figure out how to clear the driveway and get to the doctor, family who have to make flights, etc.

You can enjoy your snow day, but please realize that it is a great mess for many, many people. Gloating is not nice.

Look, I'm thankful for essential workers but they have to deal with this very rarely anymore. And with all due respect - that's part of the gig. And that includes my mother, lots of aunts/cousins. I'm not going to not be excited for a day or two off just b/c someone else has to work. Grow up.

Folks, we hardly cancel for weather anymore. Just pipe down and enjoy it if you can. If you can't you have plenty of time to make plans for childcare. I've btdt (had a toddler during Snowmageddon and a tween during COVID at home learning. So I get it.) Sh-- happens.

Some of us remember when we had a winter with almost no full weeks. Ice on the sidewalks for weeks. Walkers could not walk.

The Apple Weather app and other preloaded apps aren’t as reliable as NWS, sorry to burst your bubble.
