I mean, it's pretty clear who benefited. |
But what actually happened? |
Thank you! I think the PP doesn’t understand some of the “non-sensical” aspects of CSA, which is a blessing for them. I am about their age as well, and it was very taboo. It’s hard to explain… it was just not spoken about / addressed (I was also a childhood victim) but at the same time, the sentiment was that it happened a lot and it was just part of life. We grew up joking about our “creepy uncles” and “Pervy neighbors” and they weren’t just jokes… |
I'm the PP with that father that worked the case. He was a Special Agent with the FBI. He was in the house multiple times and interviewed the father and mother. They shielded Burke the entire time. Plenty of psychos go dormant for long periods. Plenty others also get away with crimes. |
I believe it was the parents. My theory is they wanted to party that night and gave Madeleine too much of a sedative (both are/were doctors) and she died. Plus, a cadaver dog picked up on decomposition in the trunk of the families rental car. Reminds me of the Julian Moore movie Freedomland where the mom medicates her son so she can leave at night to be with a man. And then blames the son’s death on someone else. |
He was my first thought when I saw the OP’s question. What happened to him remains incomprehensible - I cannot imagine his family’s grief. |
I don't think the timeline works for the parent(s) to have done it and then disappeared the body (same way I feel about Kyron Horman and that the timeline was too tight for it to have been the stepmom). I think Madeleine was probably killed by a resort employee (or possibly a guest) who had been watching the family and knew their pattern of leaving the kids unattended for periods of time at night. |
Re: Robert Wone, I think this would have been solved if the cops had not tried to flip the wrong guy. I don't remember the names, but if they had isolated and tried to flip the one who called 911 I think he'd have cracked. He seemed genuinely distraught in the 911 call. |
Yes. I read all the books, everything about that case. Burke had been violent before with his sister. If I recall didn't he smear his poop in her room? There was no doubt Patsy wrote that rambling random letter, that alone was beyond belief. |
I believe a similar variation to this. I also believe John didn’t know anything until he started putting the pieces together that morning. I think it explains why he’s spent his life protecting the truth, and thus, his wife and son. |
I like this theory because it is “less awful” than some alternatives. But, I don’t think the timeline works. They discover they over-sedated and therefore killed their child, and they return to the dinner table laughing and drinking wine like nothing happened? No way. |
Similarly, what was Solange so mad about on that elevator? It's pretty clear it's about Jay cheating, but was it related to Rachel Roy directly? Something else? Also, I know the hive will come for me, but is Beyonce an automaton or what? It seems like she's completely devoid of personality anymore. That doc from a few years ago was just bizarre. Any theories there? |
Still, they were 18 and 21 when they shot their parents. They could have easily rented a place together, so whatever happened in the house doesn't excuse the horrible crime. Remember they also threatened to kill their shrink. These two should never be released. |
The top one for me is an unsolved murder in DC of my spouse's work colleague. It hasn't gotten any real attention and I don't know who did it or why (were they targeting him? the person he was with? mistaken identity? just randomly shooting?) but it's so sad.
Seth Rich (I think it was a robbery and no big conspiracy...unfortunately people are so bonkers about this case they'll say it's a coverup even if there's a confession or DNA evidence or something). Joyce Chiang and Chandra Levy (not that they were necessarily killed by the same person but they disappeared around the same time...I know there are suspects in the Chiang case but nobody was ever charged) Dr. Sneha Phillip Hannah Upp (I think she drowned during a hurricane but it would be good to know for sure) |
I think Tatum dumped Relisha Rudd's body in/near Kenilworth aquatic gardens, but since he bought lime and large trash bags and probably weighted it down, it would have been very hard to find the body. Any time I hike or kayak near there I think of her. |
