If that's true, then Republicans are much smarter than we give them credit for. But I don't think it's true--the news has come far too late and doesn't look like the black Nazi has any intention of dropping out--he's like Trump--they'll have to drag him out.

On managing what’s happening in Springfield, Mike DeWine. The “I’m a Trump voter” is a bit , but I recognize he needed to say it get anyone on the far right to consider everything else he had to say.

That is actually an excellent article and very well written. I was very impressed.

One would think it would be the Nazi and slavery comments.

Robinson is obviously a homophobic and transphobic person but a lot of people like that secretly watch gay or trans porn. Trans porn is made for men so it’s not surprising some men like it.

I posted this. My kid goes to Oberlin, so I have had my eye on Ohio politics. He definately has some bad moments and supports some gross stuff. But he also shows up as a moderate voice of reason when needed.

Ohio is a bit of a schizophrenic state. For example, may I introduce their senators: Sherrod Brown (who will likely be re-elected this fall as a moderate Dem) and… JD Vance. The same people vote for these two guys two years apart, voted to legalize abortion and weed. I mean— WTF? This cycle, the state will go for Trump and Sherrod Brown by a decent margin. As if these two have anything in common. Again, WTF?

As an aside, it’s a shame Tim Ryan didn’t beat Vance. My hardline Republican aunt lives in Youngstown and he was her Congressional Rep. She always spoke very fondly of “Timmy” Ryan. Despite his position on abortion (she’s Italian and super Catholic).

Ohio politics is definately… interesting.

But DeWine is both outspoken and right on Springfield. Credit where credit is due.

That's interesting! I'm the PP and appreciate the perspective. The Brown/Vance contrast is wild indeed. Any thoughts on why Ohio has gone from swing to red in terms of the Pres election over time?

Mostly extreme gerrymandering and voter suppression

That's the GQP playbook.
Their policies are so unpopular, that's what they have to do.

Came in to read the thread but saw your comment. I'm exiting now. I'll stick to the news headlines.
