Thats a sign of insecurity and panic. They hired new coaches to win games not develop players. Wouldnt be surprised if Arlington starts to decline from this point on. Beginning of the end.

Yeah mad panic over at Arlington with all the D1 commits on their U-18 team. They must also be truly insecure to have finished top 16 in the country for ECNL for a set of boys developed at the club.

Oh--and lets not forget the massive insecurity they must feel that 5 of their younger players were just given Academy offers out of state. What a terrible state of affairs over at Arlington. Truly insufferable.

I think Arlington is doing just fine without your fake news.

Where are the five going? What age groups?

2009 sent two to Austin FC mid year. Another to NE Revolution. One going to DCU.
2011 sending two to FC Cincy; two to Austin FC; one to DCU.

Agree- Arlington ECNL teams are doing fine (except 2010). Winning- and kids are going places. Where they are not putting effort in and developing players is at the RL and below.

I'm honestly curious-so the whole family just picks up and moves to Cincinatti or wherever so their 13 year old can play soccer there?

Sometimes yes. Or one parent goes with them, or they treat it like a boarding situation. This is not unusual for MLS Academies and other international pro academies (on the boys side).

Also, this guy SoccerViza, talks about that very thing here: https://youtu.be/wM9Zk0iP0EE?si=QR2A1LpVb55lZtoC&t=243

2nd teams don’t get the same resources and this will develop slower. Get to a club where you are on the first team.
