Following youth soccer for many years, I told myself a few years ago that the only stable, healthy youth soccer organization in NOVA is Arlington. We shall see if the stable, healthy soccer organization would help Arlington to emerge from the shadow of McLean, recover from the DA collapse, and excel at ECNL. |
MV using his favorite players as leverage for a coaching position. |
This is a funny take. |
Even if Arlington was the only healthy, stable club (and this is a stretch), the individual families are not immune from external environmental changes. |
Said earlier this week best bet is Arlington or SYC most consistent brands left after this mess. Avoid this shit show go play GA get developed, worry about the best team when they come looking for you |
Why would Brave families blindly go to this new organization without any familiar coaches being there? Because ECNL told them to? |
If this is somehow true BRAVE should partner with TSJ on GA and flip the bird to ECNL. ECNL Boys is a league with no future. BRAVE girls are going to scatter to TSJ, SYC, Arl, so might as well be in the fold instead of just watching your players leave and Union keeping their rosters pretty much as is. |
If that's the case, why not include Loudoun? Both are similar. They both are huge, selling 4-5 travel teams per age group all the way to U19 nearly. |
Sorry to break the hard truth to you, they are saying not enough NoVa, Brave sit down you are now Union, next |
BRAVE should have partnered with FCV long time ago. |
Not sure why Brave girls wouldn’t want to go to Union (if Brave is no longer a choice). Practice fields are all close by. Union has an amazing college placement track record. Lots of the Vienna and McLean kids play other sports together and know each other. And the Union 2008s, 09s, and 11s could use some strengthening on the girls side. The biggest issue is the 2010s — Union is very strong there and Brave has a solid 2010s team. That’ll be a tough combination. |
This would have made zero sense a long time ago. It makes lots of sense now though. Brave has fields and coaches and kids that need a team to play on. FCV needs all those things. Proximity would have been an issue before, but Brave home base is close enough to TSJ at least. Who picks up the phone first and who says no? |
They may actually need Brave's 2010s as many of the current Union players could be considering a return to the Springfield area. Just saying... |
this is clearly all false. this makes no sense. |
It’s hard to imagine that KJ is on the US Club Board and has this forced on him. He was the driving force behind BRAVE from the Vienna side. Is this just a ploy to separate from the BRYC leadership and partner with McLean? |
