Not bad, but gave Battlefield too much credit. |
I'm not sure how much of a showdown the LB vs McLean game will be...LB is a really strong team. McLean is crazy athletic, but they are also pretty banged up and have to play another game tonight before facing LB on Saturday. If they can keep the score respectable it will be great...if they can pull out a win it would be amazing |
| We don't really know if Battlefield is any good, but that was an easy win for LB, up 8-1 at half. McLean is decent and on par with Oakton, who played LB to a 12-11 game, so they could give LB a scare. I don't think this one will be that close, though, I'll say LB wins 11-7. |
| It will be interesting to see how Battlefield does against Westfield tomorrow. Is LB just really really good or is Battlefield not as good as everyone thinks they are? |
|
McLean just beat Westfield 10-6 and has LB on Saturday.
Battlefield just lost to LB 10-3 and has Westfield on Saturday. Will be very interesting to see the comparison. Thinking that Battlefield will be dropping to at least #5. McLean could potentially leapfrog Battlefield if McLean plays LB decently and Battlefield doesn't blow out Westfield. |
McLean has had a busy week. After beating Langley and Westfield, they beat Wakefield 12-4 last night to improve to 10-0 on the season. Honestly if they can stay awake and somewhat hang with LB on Saturday it will have been a strong week. |
| McLean rested most of their starters last night so that is at least a little helpful. But yes...they have had 2 game heavy weeks in a row. It will have either helped to jell them as a team as most of the kids are multisport athletes who only play lacrosse in the spring or they are going to be banged up and tired. We will find out tomorrow night. |
| While McLean got back its top player (played on MadLax Orange 2022 and Mater Dei teams and led Liberty District in goals and points during the regular season last year) last night, it's going to be difficult for it to keep up with Lake Braddock's multifaceted offense. Hopefully, McLean can maintain its momentum, despite the wear and tear, and keep the game competitive. |
| Watch film. It will tell McLean what it needs to know about LB offense. |
Interesting - three entries in row above detailing how “tired” and “beat up” McLean might be tomorrow… I’m sure that’s just a coincidence and not a coordinated effort to influence the esteemed rankings committee in case they lose tomorrow, right?

|
It’s just a fact. They played 4 games last week and 4 games this week. I don’t think anyone expects Mclean to win tomorrow night and they will move up the rankings regardless with wins against Langley and Westfield.
It will be an interesting game tomorrow to see how good McLean is. If they can keep the score close then they should at least be considered an outside contender come postseason. |
McLean has had it’s entire roster all season and their offense as been very balanced |
| Yeah, I doubt a 2022 MadLax player would reclass as McLean. |
No need to throw shade at poor McLean but yeah that information is not accurate |
| Wasn’t a McLean insult, people don’t reclass to public schools. Don’t think it is even allowed. |
