2023 Girls ISL and WCAC outlook

Anonymous
So SSSAS has about five freshman girls who play considerable minutes this year. Two of their best players are recovering from ACL injuries. There are several girls who play but really don't want to play beyond high school. The talent, and perhaps desire, just isn't as strong. I don't think for a minute, however, that Kathy sought an easier schedule because of that.

As a PP said, they also play quite a few good out of conference matchups and still have the ISL schedule to play.

But hey, haters are gonna hate, and Kathy has drawn her fair share of them over the past 40 years of coaching (and growing) the game...

Many of those haters are quite justified, and some are or were at SS.

Who reports scores to the ISL website? I notice there is one score conspicuously missing--is it the home team's responsibility?

KJ is definitely an acquired taste and they're definitely young and injured. But if the metric is banners - ISL or VISAA - Saints is ahead of anyone else in the region. If its players playing in college, Saints is again ahead of anyone else in the region. But the path all of the kids are on is hard. All the coaches are crazy but try getting through to 14-18 year old's right now. KJ runs a hard program, and it isn't for everyone but you can't argue with the results. Facts are hard to refute.

You keep chopping down that KJ legacy, once bitter swipe at a time.

Just ask around, it’s not an uncommon perspective.
