This is such a poor bandwagon take. If you really watch the man play, you'll see that he's one of the hardest hit, most targeted guys on the field. He's perpetually taking hard tackles, fouls, and card worthy take downs. No wonder his ankles, knees and legs are barely standing. And he is the #1 target bc of what he produces. Neymar is not my favorite player by any means but I can appreciate how physical the game is for him. There's no way he can play for much longer.

I say that having watched the women play with blood dripping down their faces and rolling around with the dramatics of Neymar and other male players.

Dude, I'm sorry but women's soccer is just not the same as men's. It has nowhere near the same speed, strength or power of the men's game. Women's soccer is slow. Painfully slow. Are there injuries? Of course. But to argue that men - and particular - Neymar don't get injured in a game that is 10x faster is just nonsense. No, you do not watch the same game as the rest of us, and the take above is rightfully identified as just a bandwagon observation.

Believe the point here was not about injuries, but how much more often the men fake them.

No, that wasn't the point. PP explicitly stated what she believed about Neymar, which is false. If she watched him in league player (or int'l appearances) she would understand that he is perpetually targeted by opponents and often taken out by any means possible. If she watched, she would understand how common injury is in soccer - mens and women's - and she would understand Neymar's long standing injuries sustained on the pitch. But she doesn't watch or understand and is trying to hide behind the "well women are better" because she is just regurgitating bandwagon takes. So she's getting called out on it.

No you are wrong about what I was saying. Keep thinking what you are spouting, you’ll be further ignored. Get over yourself and learn to take a joke. I played soccer. My daughter played soccer and there is no bandwagon. The men including Neymar are drama acting queens when the get injured. You can find videos of entire teams yelling out Neymar and rolling around like the world is ending and they are on fire.

This post is incoherent. Playing girls HS soccer is really not akin to an EPL/Ligue1 level game, nor does it qualify you as an expert on the matter. But, as it's clear you're not really someone who has any background knowledge about the players or the sport, we'll just let you keep screaming into the wind.

Look girls and women soccer is not close to the level of the men’s game specially in the US. It’s a totally different game in terms of speed of play and technical abilities. The girls and women game in the US is about physicality not technical skill.

You are so right. No one is debating about the athleticism of men vs. women except one person. There are entire memes dedicated to the histrionic dramatics of the men trying to get a foul called or yellow card issued. There are also memes and videos of women not doing the same and yet playing on with blood running down their face.

Some people cannot take a joke or miss sarcasm entirely. +100 for your comment.

That was a ridiculous call. Richarlison ran into the player and feigned an injury

Korea played hard, Brazil and Neymar are just really good. I’m glad Korea got one goal in and gave the Brazilian goalie some practice in during the match.

I think these players are like politicians- they lose the ability to admit to themselves they are lying. Maybe they will eventually outfit all the players with sensors in their socks and shoes that can tell when a player is lying about an impact. Like the sensor in the ball that proved
Ronaldo didn’t touch the goal he tried to claim.

So what are your favorite teams left. Pick one for the style of play and one because you have a soft spot for the country.
