If it's not true, it will be a slam dunk payday for Boebert and her family so she has every incentive to get a lawsuit moving forward.

Tick tock, tick tock. Where's the lawsuit?

The fact a lawsuit wasn’t filed within 48 hours, followed up by a barrage of rightwing media appearances, tells us all we need to know. Too many skeletons.

Comet Ping Pong never sued over Pizzagate. I can only assume that Pizzagate is true. That's your literal argument.

Did Comet Ping Pong’s attorney state unequivocally that they would be filing a lawsuit? Their defamation came from random online posts.

The Boebert allegations stem from a very specific, identifiable entity that issued a press release. Boebert’s attorney promised a defamation lawsuit.

Boebert's attorney sent a letter to the American Muckrakers PAC regarding the claims that she was an "unlicensed paid escort" who had "two abortions," pledging to bring "civil defamation" lawsuits against the PAC.

"This will be a costly miscalculation for Muckrakers, Wheeler and Muckrakers’ donors," the attorney added.

We’ll see if this lawsuit ever gets filed.

New goalposts I see.

Lol. I was trying to help you understand pp’s point since you clearly don’t. The point isn’t that every time someone doesn’t file a slander or defamation lawsuit the allegations must be true. The point is that when your attorney says you have proof that the allegations are false and you will be suing for defamation, but then you never do, it’s because you know damaging information would come out if you sued, so you were just issuing empty threats in an attempt to save face.

The goalposts are the same. If Boebert doesn’t sue, it’s because she’s afraid of what will come out if she does.

Thanks for boiling it down. Failure to sue => Allegation is true.

+1

No one, other than gibbering propagandized Republican dummies, believed that Comet Ping Pong was running a pedophile ring out of their basement. There was no reason to sue.

Setting aside these new allegations about Boebert, she literally did tweet out Pelosi’s whereabouts during the GOP’s attack on America. She literally did marry her husband who literally did flash his genitals at minors - that gets most people placed on the sex offender registry. She literally worked at a gun themed restaurant. I mean the allegations are not exactly outside of reality.

If you’ve stated that you will sue because you have proof that the allegations are false but then you don’t sue => Either allegations are true or similarly damaging information would come out in a lawsuit.

If you never planned to sue and you don’t sue => That’s a different story.

Even CNN is questioning this story.....

A Democratic super PAC has made multiple false claims about Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert while pushing unproven allegations that the right-wing Colorado congresswoman has had abortions and formerly worked as an escort, all of which Boebert vehemently denies.

American Muckrakers PAC co-founder David Wheeler acknowledged to CNN that the super PAC had been "sloppy" and had published "inaccuracies" on its anti-Boebert website, though he said it remains confident in the "main points of the story." His comments came after CNN reporting found that the super PAC had made at least five false statements about Boebert, along with a series of uncorroborated assertions that Boebert says are false and that CNN could neither immediately confirm nor immediately debunk.
In emails this week and in a Thursday interview, Wheeler conceded that the super PAC was wrong when it insisted a photo of another woman posing on a bed is a photo of Boebert, was wrong when it claimed Boebert initially failed to disclose a campaign contribution from Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, was wrong to suggest Cruz had made big contributions to Boebert's campaign immediately after she started running in her first primary, was wrong about the date of a Boebert vehicle accident, and was wrong when it published a claim that Boebert had an abortion "in the fall of 2004" -- at most six months before she gave birth to a son in March 2005.

In the interest of fairness, the thread should be altered, not deleted in its entirety. Keep the first post and the one I’m replying to and delete all of the others. It’s not fair to have a thread where people read the accusations, but then no thread where people can read that the allegations were proven false. And I say this as a Boebert hater.

A. You're not a Boebert hater.

B. Stop calling for the thread to be deleted. Just don't read it if you don't like it. It is fair.

Just seeing this thread, but it honestly makes sense. I can see the GOP picking candidates this way. Having a sexy, gun-toting woman who isn’t afraid of anything, will stand up for her man, and appears to be willing to put out, is what the patriarchy salivates for.

I’m absolutely a Boebert hater. I think she’s a hateful piece of trash. I think she’s a useful idiot for the GOP, who appeals to voters’ worst instincts. She’s everything that’s wrong with MAGA. She’s terrible for the country.

But as much as these allegations rang true to me when first raised, it sounds like they’ve been mostly debunked. Wheeler has provided as much proof of these allegations as Giuliani provided that the election was stolen. Put up or shut up.

Lauren Boebert is a moron and I apologize to the morons that I have just insulted. She sees a pile of bricks and thinks that this is liberal protesters work and asks why the Capitol police don't do anything despite there being a construction sign and construction work going on right next to the building materials appropriately marked as part of said construction.

I care if she had abortion(s) and now is on board with denying them to others. I don't care about sex work. I do care about abortion hypocrisy. I care a lot.

She is being accused of having an abortion 6 months before giving birth.
Explain that.
