They found some classified docs in a closet.

But I'm sure there was a padlock on the closet.

Any document that was covered by Executive Privilege is by definition an official government document that belongs to the National Archives. Executive Privilege does not mean it belongs to Trump. It means the opposite.

Can you imagine where the really really really sensitive stuff might be? This is the tip of the iceberg I’m sure.

I don’t assume that Trump was holding these documents for the purpose of interfering with another election, although it’s entirely possible. He may have also planned to use them to curry favor with certain foreign leaders for his own personal dealings.

Favors like announcing investigations against his political opponent? That kinda favor? Don’t be naive. This is just another iteration of the same move he always makes.

The core issue is still that Trump is ignorant about how anything in government works. He assumes that Presidential documents from his term are his documents, not government records. He will never understand this because he is incapable of even considering that the documents are not his.

He doesn't have to understand, he just has to obey a lawful order. Which he does understand, but refuses to do.

What a toddler. "It's MINE!". Small grubby hands full of ketchup.

Everyone has to start looking at him purely in terms of how he leverages power. Those documents = power. He stole them, likely as insurance policies in the event he would ever find himself in trouble or needing something.

The damage he might have already done or could do is just kind of sickening. And it explains why he’s not already behind bars. I feel that because the DOJ made such a public move, they must have him in check mate. If they didn’t, and went ahead anyway, we are all going to regret it.

Stop infantilizing him. He knows well enough what he had. He is a seasoned criminal.

What's scarier than a toddler with nuclear info? Of course I'm taking things seriously.

The rest of that story is that Biden was in this from the beginning and didn’t hear about it ‘when we did, through the media’. His administration waived Trump’s executive privilege. That will probably go to the SC. Given the history of the FBI targeting, I know how that will probably go

Source for these claims?

Idiot PP took the bait. Trumpy “journalist” John Solomon was given the OK to release the letter to get his base all riled up about Biden. But what the letter actually does reveal is hideously bad for Trump.

Scary are the people who support him.

+1

There’s an entire political party that has no problem with this. None. They’re actively defending him and he is still the front runner of their godawful fascist party. He’s bad, the damage he has done (that Biden and Harris have spent the last two years quietly fixing as the media and the GOP try to bury them) is incalculable but the fact that the GOP still supports him? It’s unreal, like a horrible waking nightmare.
