| We just put a contract on a house and need an inspection as well so I did some research and found that JD Grewell of JD Grewell Associates seems to be one of the most highly respected inspectors in the area and generally feared by realtors. We were very happy with HomeChek of America. Very experienced, in industry (construction, inspections) for 20+ years, answered all questions, took time, very thorough.
Attorneys and insurers use them for residential property lawsuits as well (.e.g. when the original inspector misses something that later is a serious problem). |

| We used JD Grewell last year. Our realtor hated him! He found a lot of things. Some of them were fixed by the seller, some not, but we know what issues might arise, and I think that is what you need. He did raise a few issues, that upon further inspection, turned out to be fine. But again, I think, he is raising issues, not telling you not to buy the house. It is up to you to decide what you are comfortable with. |
