Will Whittle be around next year?

Shame on you too for having no integrity. Find a new job- there are PLENTY of employers looking for great employees like yourself and the lazy jerk at WSS

I still cannot get over that someone took over the whittleonline.org domain while the school was still linking to it and under the impression they still owned it (caution: VERY NSFW). Perhaps a disgruntled former employee?

This has to be one of the three stooges from the parent capital committee upset about the poor return on "investment" they're getting for the money being poured into the Whittle sinkhole 😂 Shame on you for propping up a serial grifter's financially and morally bankrupt organization

I noticed there was no mention of Whittle whatsoever in news reports about yesterday’s shooting, while UDC, Howard Law, and even Sidwell and Wilson were reported to be locked down. Is the school that under the radar?

Dennis is such an amazing head of school! He is a true educator, and he cares about the students and families. He is a strong and decisive leader who makes effort to connect with the teachers, and he is very supportive of the teachers' innovative ideas for teaching. I have nothing but good words about him. Any school that could have him will be so lucky!

Dennis, thanks for sharing.

+1 -- no competent person would have gone to Whittle in the first place. Hard pass on Dennis

There were plenty of highly competent people that left great jobs and moved to DC to work at Whittle. They just didn’t know that the $700 million Chris Whittle claimed to have raised was actually a tiny fraction of that. He provided false information to parents. Teachers. Admins. Contractors. The press. They were slashing budgets from day one and withholding resources and missing payroll by month 5. Stiffing contractors from the start. A forensic accountant needs to determine how much was taken off the top by Chris to pocket personally. They’d need to go back to pre 2018 days when they first incorporated which was substantially earlier than that. The entire venture was a cut and paste of Nations Academy ( fraud. Rivera. Whittle. Varkey) and Avenues (expelled Whittle for mismanagement and huge debt to them ) and it’s a tribute to the teachers that the kids managed to get a decent education despite it all. Fraudulent misrepresentation by many parties involved.

I know right! It was crazy that EVRRY institution was pointed out on the news maps and yet there was zilch about Whittle

Not quite sure why the need for your rudeness. Everyone is taking things day by day and trust me my co-workers and I have applied out to over ten schools (and yes we have offers)…

Agree. No need to be rude. I bet you can't wait to leave WSS. It has been a hell of a ride. My kid will not be returning to WSS after June. I wonder what it is like for the employees.

Kind of funny to hear a Whittle sycophant / kool aid drinker talking about "integrity". Now that is truly shameless (or shameful!) 😂

Those people are not competent because a simple google search would have revealed that Whittle was a well-known fraud at least since the 90s. In an article from 1994, a former colleague said, "Chris Whittle has a remarkable ability to get smart people to do stupid things." Sorry...no reason to feel bad for anyone who couldn't do the smallest bit of due diligence before agreeing to work for Whittle or send kids to his school.

Yes, they are competent. All of the competent people who came to Whittle are already gone. At least the previous teachers all left for better schools like Georgetown Day, Field School among other private schools. If they were not competent, they wouldn't have been able to leave for better places in such a short period of time. I just hope all of the current teachers have a job lined up elsewhere. CW is definitely not someone to trust. CW is the last person I feel bad for. Neither my kid nor I was harmed by the school, but it has a lot of issues. My kid was able to take advantage of the school's location to do a lot of extracurriculars that they would not be able to do in other parts of the US. We got what we want and are already fed up with CW's lies, so...
