Can you think of a situation where, if you were in her shoes, you’d prefer the wild speculation to the truth? Because fr, if I had a colostomy bag, I’d just come out with it. Better than people speculating that I’m suicidal or crazy, or paralyzed, or whatever.

We’d have the same reaction here if the President or VP was ill and hiding, didn’t provide specifics, and released a doctored photo as proof of life. You give up your privacy in these types of positions.

No. I wouldn’t want people to know I had a colostomy bag. I’m private about my health. She’s not President of the US or in any Ho earning roll—no need for public to have to know.

One thing is that for everyone saying nothing is up, “something” is obviously up at this point. Whether it’s health or personal, major or minor we don’t know. I think some of these really elaborate theories seems outlandish and also think there’d be more leaking if some were true (there clearly are staff, drs, etc who know what’s up).

DP. I agree something is up. But it’s not paralysis, especially in a doctored picture from November or December. I know this will shock the contingent who thinks Kate is perfect in every way and therefore questions should never be asked, but Kate actually has pretty short legs and a pretty long waist, that’s it.

Oh cmon. She isn’t paralyzed. It is pretty obv and pretty much confirmed this picture was more or less either taken in the a few months ago AND photoshopped a ton.

On a more serious note- the press and internet sleuths set out to try and force Kate to share her medical information by coming up with crazier and crazier speculation. While many think this is a joke by going along with it and contributing to it all it’s doing is diminishing another woman’s autonomy for your entertainment. Congrats?

For a brief moment yesterday I wondered if Kate actually caused this big hullabaloo. Assume that she wants more autonomy in her role. She has used her own edited photos before and they have been published. Assume that she was just rushed to put something out, worked on the photo, maybe didn’t give it as much time and attention it needed and sent it out sans information that it had been edited (as an oversight or simply just not caring because she wanted to get it done) and now she and William are facing this ridiculous firestorm of speculation over carelessness. Granted the fact that she underwent some mysterious abdominal procedure and hasn’t been seen in public for an extended period makes this so much worse, if it weren’t for this would a badly edited photo really matter. If she wasn’t in a bad place before, all this speculation over a careless act certainly has put her in one.
