What is your racial background? How do you identify yourself? Do you like the Cablasian term Tiger Woods made up?

Asian/white. The term Cablasian means nothing to me. I usually refer to myself as Hasian (jokingly), other people have said Happa.

do you identify white more or asian?

What type of Asian? Is your mom white or Asian? Do you speak your Asian heritage's language?

And, most importantly, how do you do your eyebrows (tweeze, wax, or shave off and paint on, like some of my Asian friends)?

Very interested, as DD is half Asian, half white.

Yes, mostly because even when I lived in my Asian country, everyone called me "white" or "white girl". Asians are purists when it comes to their race/ethnicity so any mixed person is viewed as very much an "other". It was a difficult childhood.

Mom is Asian - Thai and I speak some, though not as fluently as I used to.

I tweeze and sometimes wax my eyebrows

Are you or you spouse Asian? Are you raising your DD to be bilingual?

How did your Asian parent come to meet and accept your White parent if this is so?

To 21:13 - My Asian mom was considered very "modern". Went to grad school in the US, was the only one in her family to do so. Was an executive at an ad agency in her country. Traveled all over Europe with a girlfriend, etc. She was also the youngest of six children so got away with more. Didn't meet and marry my dad until she was in her 30's which was considered quite old for the time.

Also, the whole purist attitude is contradicting because everyone wants to have more "western" features and will go through great lengths and plastic surgery to fix their eyes, nose, etc. to look more Caucasian.

DH is Asian and I am white. DD is being raised bilingual, yes

Re: Asian culture seeing other races as "the other" -- it's complicated because it's a bit of a superiority/inferiority complex.

Not OP but this is like asking if she has ever had a bad day? It happens to everyone.
