What do you want to know? Bastien and his staff is here and will start working with his teams in a matter of weeks. Contrary to rumors they have fields at the locations promised by the club. The club and coaches are in communication with parents and players with no red flags. Whatever AB is doing or not it hasn’t even been a factor. I’m sure this perspective is bothersome to the few on this board who feel burned that STJ didn’t build a fancy stadium for their kid, but as others have said the reality of now and today is far more important and different than what has been posted about the past.

Don’t be an idiot. Public fields aren’t known yet that far in advance for the vast majority of clubs in NOVA. I guess if you feel superior because your kid moved to the one club who had an ultra rich parent who could buy the best stadium in the region with a bar on the roof then, I guess I don’t have an answer for you. I’ll let you in on a secret. I don’t care. 🤷

I'm a parent thats doing summer rec. I just wanted to know more about the futsal plans. I know there are some Fridays in Loudoun. Wanted to know if there were expansion plans or if it would carry into fall.
My kid will age out of FCV rec so I need to figure out fall.

That makes it sound like i was asking about fall. I asked about summer to know if there was other stuff i was missing.

You all should move on to threads about your new club. The families that stayed and the new families coming in are trusting the new direction that FCV is moving. Only time will tell if FCV can rebuild to the level they were at prior to the leadership changes. Coming here and asking about fields and bad mouthing the leadership isn't going to change the opinion of anyone here.

Fcv has social media to post their fluffy BS. I find it absolutely hilarious you're acting holier than now against people literally explaining their own opinions and experiences with this club. I've had numerous conversations with people looking at trying out about this club and why we left. I only know one family that's staying and that speaks of volumes to the club's current state of affairs and the lack of confidence former fcv players have in the club and AB in general.

If you can be trusted to be who you say you are (a former club parent) then what you don’t seem to grasp is that this is your PAST experience. We heard you. Thankyou for your service. We can take it from here.

Current families see good things happening NOW and choose to be optimistic. If the upcoming year is not good, then we can leave. I’ll base that decision on REAL TIME data and MY experience. You are not with the club or in the loop so you’re information is outdated and not relevant.

What I can’t understand is why your still here???? I cannot think of any reason except: 1) you are unstable or 2) you have a grudge you can’t get over (see pt 1), or 3) you are not a former parent but actually a competitor club trying to slander the competition.

Any reasonable and sane former club parent would share their feedback at the time and move on instead of coming back day after day to talk about the past and constantly try to get intel here about the present for a club you’re not even in. Nothing about your behavior is normal or smells right.

Hi Adam. We met this past winter before we left when you lied to our face with your sales pitch with our team. 👋 How's the fields you're building/terfing going that you told us parents were 100% in the works and ready before the spring season ended?

This is maybe the most pathetic post to date. How old are you that you feel motivated to come to a board like this and keep echoing your tired old complaint that StJ didn’t build you a futbol stadium for your daughter? Unless you are rich and entitled I could think of several reasons why such a project wouldn’t have happened, all of which don’t include your favorite punching bag Adam. Let me guess you are a real estate expert?

AB reports to someone. Some things must be out of his control or pay grade. His lesson would be to stop talking about stuff until the ink is dry or ground is broken. And even then, bad news doesn't get better with age. If something falls thru, be up front about it. Or better yet...don't promise.

So, you feel the need to villify the man because he made the mistake of telling you about plans for the club before the contracts were signed?

I am a parent as well. I can’t speak to what is available for REC players but we received an email with several options for futsal training for GA players across different age groups. The dates are in July for 09/11/12 age groups and July/Aug for 10/08/07 age groups. The location is the Michael & Son Sportsplex. Probably not entirely helpful, but it is refreshing to have a real question rather than reading angry responses by a minority of parents who are no longer with the club. I feel like I may have seen an email or social media post that had more information.

No one left FCV for a lack of fields; otherwise, they would have left last year or any year before that because FCV never had a permanent facility in Loudoun. They left because they were promised their kids would remain on GA1 and wouldn't have to go through a real tryout. The VRSC facility is just a bonus. I hope NE can deliver on the other promises CC made you.

Just checked the website and I would recommend contacting Kurt Gordon if you are near Springfield. And Chris Pruden if you are nearer to Loudoun. They run the futsal academy and should have more information. Here is the webpage for the South/Springfield option. https://thestjamessoccer.com/futsal-academy/academy-south/

So the public park space didn’t work out? So what? We have fields now that are much closer. As someone in Western Loudoun with 2 players I am glad! We would not stay if the fields were that far.
If FCV does ever look at this board: you already have Fairfax STJ, if you are thinking about a permanent second Loudoun location, it should be in Loudoun.

+1 Fields need to stay in loudoun proper.

As long as JM continues to fund things and CC can run things unimpeded by that moron NE, I can see it being very successful (in time).

Nah man. Trying to defend him a bit. It is a lesson learned but the man isnt the king. Not everything is in his control.

I have been told that the Champions Cup Clubs have been sent out to GA clubs for the next year.

FC Virginia qualified on paper based on their results but are ineligible for Champions Cup next season based on too many teams forfeiting their playoff position and roster continuity issues? Does anyone have any information on the validity of this? Can FCV fight it as they have earned the spots?

There is a HUGE difference between exposure for players in the Champions Cup vs regular GA showcase so it can have a big impact on players.

Why don’t you be a little clearer on who you heard this information from. Is it from the parent who hates FCV, from another parent, from a coach at FCV, or just an idea that popped into your head because you thought it would be interesting to stir the pot with unsubstantiated rumors? Maybe you right?

ouch… those are inside fields and they are all different sizes. They will also have competition for those fields from local teams avoiding the heat
