Not paying 10k.

Or looking to other MLS academies and what they have to offer for your son. You could also stay at a local club. It all depends on what your goals are as a player. Now, DCU is 10k to attend which is a barrier for a lot of parents and a nod to the soccer establishment in our country that is always catering to rich and well off parents. With DCU basically being pay to play, there are lots of other options in that category. Especially considering DCU isnt far superior than local clubs in terms of output.

Didn't know people were being forced to go to this club
Thought it was optional if you were qualified

If it works for a family, fine. If it doesn't, fine I would think.
Go to what's a comfortable fit

Why spend all day talking about the restaurant you don't want to go to or the car you'll never buy

Spending time responding is even more questionable. No one is being forced to go anywhere. But since DCU is the only MLS club in the DMV, people have a right to know that the facade it is trying to keep up is a total lie. You've finally understood that and it kills you. It's ok.

What do you call it when someone continuously replies to themselves to keep the thread on the front page because no one else is responding?

What if even the negative replies are the same guy? What if this comment is the same guy? Who am I? How did I get here?

Gotta give him credit though, he's more than a pitbull with a bone

He's determined to singlehandedly on a blog take down the 8th most valuable soccer club in MLS and in the top 30 in the world (Forbes)

The one thing he should at least tell us is the why behind his personal crusade and motivations.
If we know how deeply DCU/DCUA cut him and the extent of the damages, maybe we'll be more empathetic and he wouldn't have to respond to himself 50 times a day

Again, I appreciate you immediately confirming my post and verifying the existence of multiple personalities.

This almost sounds farfetched, till you read him calling dc a clown and responding its definitely a clown show immediately after 🤣🤣

Wait, who is having a conversation with themselves again??? They are different posters from different IP addresses...couldn't be that multiple people think DCU is a trash bag.

Report it and when the moderator tells you it's different IP addresses you'll feel like a dumb a##.

But unfortunately that didn't happen. And how is this relevant to the thread again?

My first time reading this thread and I don't see anything relevant except to the guy with the vendetta and the other person getting him riled up

It's pretty stupid because the percentage of players in the DMV that can get into a MLS academy is very small, so this doesn't apply to us
Plus, the majority of parents in the area are going to DC if called, regardless of the guy trying to get everyone on his anti-dc program

No club in our region is a better place to be for a path to high level soccer for boys. Only an idiot says or believes otherwise.

You don't have to like the organization. Same many don't like Bethesda or Achilles or SYC, but it has zero impact on the clubs.

Dude needs to use his energy wisely, because no kid or parent with kid at dcu cares he has a personal war.

I totally agree with you. What I will say is I know of 4 2009s in the last few months who have chosen Austin or New England over DC United. I don't think that's a great look.
And I feel like it says if you have options and feel comfortable sending your kid away you will skip DC.

I think it says grass looks greener, and to some people, it may actually be a better personal choice.

New England or Austin or DC or Seattle or Charlotte etc
Tomato or Tomato`
