OK, this is definitely not an education question, but it does have to do with a DC public school. Fellow Janney moms, is it me or is the Janney community really lacking in the Janney dad eye candy category? Love the school, but as a sahm I wish there was more to look at. I know many Janney families got started making or adopting babies late, but even so... |
They seem to match the moms to me. Sorry. |
Upper NWesties in general tend to be dour middle-aged, no-frills folk. Lots of fleece clothing, practical shoes, and gray hair all around. |
Too bad you are not at Hearst - not only do we have some good looking dads (and moms) but we also have the cute Secret Service agents watching the school across the street. |
Love this post and the PP comment! |
There's a couple of hotties I've noticed... |
Charter school moms are totally hot. |
Totally agree. Five years younger and less uptight... |
I'll play along.
I'm also a Janney mom. There is one really attractive dad. I've only seen him twice but did a double take each time. I wonder if you all know whom I'm talking about (I have no idea who he is). Then there are a few others (2-3?) who are mildly attractive. I spend way too much time at the school. The good thing is that no-one really cares a bit about clothing. Lots of grey hair, danskos, fleeces, mom jeans, etc. Many (most?) moms are 45+ and dads are 50+. |
PP, we need more detail than "really attractive," though the gist of your post is really the qualification with "really attractive" with "one," and expecting us to know who it is. ![]() The apparel thing actually ruins the one attractive guy I see from time to time. Piercing blue eyes, fit, salt-and-pepper hair, but he wears those weird toe shoes. Completely ruins even my most rudimentary fantasy, because I always hear him saying something like, "want some kombucha tea?" |
PP here, just wanted to make sure that I've never heard him actually say anything about kombucha tea or quinoa. He just says it in the beginning of my fantasies, which I then abort. |
Yup. Hags and geezers, a plenty. 8) |
People of substance with higher level education and comfortable wealth rarely waste time trying to appeal to shallow dimwits, OP. We didn't get to where we are by focussing on being 'eye candy'. Move to LA where everyone cares about such things. |
18:47 had a hard time in high school, and is still trying to compensate for it. |
Mr. Harris in "The New Adventures of Old Christine".
"People of substance with higher level education and comfortable wealth rarely waste time trying to appeal to shallow dimwits, OP. We didn't get to where we are by focussing on being 'eye candy'. Move to LA where everyone cares about such things. " If you say so, but how much effort does it take for a menopausal woman "of substance" to pluck, shave, or wax her chin hairs? |
