One broken arm of an illegal immigrant nears $10K. ONE ESOL teacher with benefits averages $60K. Then you have free lunch and instructional assistants, translators etc... To educate ONE illegal immigrant, it costs nearly $15K.

Translation- I believe that the days where college was cheaper were bad, because the playing field was more even, and poor children could attend and have a shot at a career, just like rich children. I completely believe this. I'm a SAHM and my circle of friends includes WOHMs and other SAHMs. We're all good friends and have a ton in common.

Too many people are going to college now, making a college degree a standard feature of any employee. This makes employees with only a high school diploma seem substandard. This is highly unfair to all parties involved. High school graduates are not able to find jobs that can support a family as they could 40-50 years ago and college graduates now have to work harder than their parents and grandparents to have the same standard of living.
