Trump asked the Saudis to cut production to drive prices up - and they did.

Where? Just curious.

I just drove back into DC and saw gas range from about 3.20 to 3.40 and then on CT Ave, 3.49.

All in all not bad at all.

And, the Strategic Petroleum Reserve is being replenished at a price of $73 a barrel which is much much better than right after the Ukraine invasion, when Russian oil was halted and when Republicans were screeching about the SPR and it would have cost us closer to $100 a barrel. Thank you Joe!

That’s much lower than I would have expected. It’s in the $3.60 range or a little higher in the W. Springfield and Lorton area.

Other than the nadir of COVID, when it hit 1.91/gal, you would have to go back to 2003 for your statement to be true. Depending on your age, I suppose 20 years isn't that long ago.

It's always overpriced in W. Springfield and Lorton. I'm guessing its because they are adjacent to I-95 and someone coming off the highway for gas is a price-taker. Which is ironic because those neighborhoods are definitely more working class than the rest of NoVA.

It's 3.25 right now at the 76 next to Eden Center, and 3.35 at the Liberty in Arlington. Those are basically the only gas stations I use because they are so cheap.

Student, pointless thread. Gas prices vary by state, county, and gas station. AAA says the national average today is $3.522 and in VA the average statewide is $3.297. That may change in a few days.

I’m talking about W Springfield around Rolling Road and actually even over to the Burke area along Lee Chapel towards 123, which really isn’t adjacent to 95.

Lorton makes sense.

MBS is ready to f’ Biden with no lube

Brent above 90 again, if Chinese don’t suffer a downturn and the us hits soft landing, Biden can’t do anything on gas prices

Biden now has two bad options - needing a recession to bring gas prices down or having to muddle thru high oil prices

Is this the news you are referencing?

BTW filled up my tank for the first time in awhile a few weeks ago and was shocked at how expensive it was (western Fairfax). Food is also getting more expensive.
