Once a week. Homemade Mac. Frozen chicken nuggets.

So what OP? My kids have never eaten McDonalds and about once a month we have homemade macaroni and cheese with homemade breadcrumbs and we're vegetarian so we never eat chicken fingers. But seriously, who cares? So maybe I "win" in the home cooked food department but I'm sure there is something you do better than me in another area. We do our best as parents and have to prioritize.

A healthy as they can be version of chicken tenders/nuggets frequently--probably once/week. Homemade mac and cheese rarely, Amy's frozen mac and cheese even less often, and boxed mac and cheese never. But I do consider mac and cheese an acceptable menu choice at Panera and we go there a couple times/month.

I have a close friend who serves Annie's Mac and Cheese at least 4 times a weeks. Her kids are picky and will not eat regular food. She did this to herself. When they are at our place they will eat everything.

you know we eat "chicken nuggets" a few times a week but I just cut up chicken breast and dipp them in bread crumbs and cook them .. .

stick them in the freezer and its an easy healthy fast dinner..

it really does no take very long at all

mac and cheese from scratch is a fat on to cook noodles melt some cheese, butter, milk and stir it together ..

my kids never complained

1-3 times a month. Sometimes homemade, sometimes from scratch, sometimes at a restaurant. I try to keep it to less than once a week, but that's more closely related to my desire for them to have a constant variety than my hate for Mac N Cheese etc.

Once a week. But when we have other things, DS generally asks if he can have a greek yogurt instead, so he eats yogurt at least 3 other nights.

We have Annies once a week for dinner. I don't use butter (which the box says is optional). Obviously I don't think it is the end of the world... Nuggets rarely. 3/4 won't eat at all so they are really only a filler for 1.

Once a month mac N cheese and maybe once every two months chicken tenders. Although....she does eat mandu, samosas or egg rolls once a week - so I consider that the "chicken tenders" of whereever we are eating.

LOL, mac and cheese 3 times a week but we try to put different types of steak, vegies or chicken in it.

We buy the...

Kraft brand

GASP OH NO!!!!! I am a horrible parent.

I'm just curious...do you mom's who think that if you say that you are feeding your kids Annie's really think you are doing a better job because of it? Vs, actually COOKING noodles with cheese?

I hate this faux organic trend - where parents think they aren't eating processed foods (vs. fresh foods)...it's still powdered cheese. Yuck.

Right? As if the parents who are eating Annie's 4 x a week are better because of it.

No I don't think I am doing a better job of it..but none of us can claim that mac and cheese is an award winning healthy meal. How much fat does your home cooked version have? And btw we Annies (and even Kraft) users do cook the noodles the same as you!
