I’m glad they had a good season and probably really enjoyed the ride. And it’s good for the local public lacrosse scene to have other programs grow and develop.

O M G Robinson DISMANTLED Woodson lacrosse last night with a 17-5 victory which punched their ticket into the state tournament. Number 2 is an angel sent from god himself, absolutely LOCKING any player that he faced.

Speaking of Langley, I am really doubting that team next season, especially in their attack which was carried by #2, a senior. After losing him, maybe they'll move that #8 kid up but I don't think they will be getting the same offensive production as they did this season. The main concern for me is their defense who seem to only do well against lower ranked teams but then let up a ton of goals against the big dogs like Robinson, Madison, Yorktown, broadneck, and south river. If they want to win the liberty district, they can't just rely on offense, otherwise I can see Mclean making a huge jump next season and potentially dethroning the saxons. As a Mclean parent, I'm not trying to hate on Langley they have the talent but I think it really comes down to coaching. It's not like half of robinson's starters are going d1 but with the right coaching, they have looked unstoppable this season and I think those boys in Fairfax could put up fights against the private schools up in DC and Maryland.

Both are starters for their respective University. Danny Maltz, an attackmen for Maryland. John Schroter, a defenseman for UVA. Probably has never happened before in this area, that two public school kids will go head to head, on this big of a stage, and were high school teammates. Really cool.

There are other NOVA players, like Maryland's Stamos (WestPo) and Virginia's FOGO transfer DeSouza.

Number “21” on robo lacrosse is an absolute beast. Him along with 16 and number 15 are a lethal trio. The trio has terrorized VA since the beginning of the season and no one and I mean NO ONE can or will stop these kids. ( Langley parent/Madison alumni /Cabrini lacrosse)

Yes but they were not high school teammates.

Everyone talking down on the rams like there has not been only 3 games where they’ve led by under 5 goals. Every other game has been a complete blowout. Hmmm… I think some of you parents need to check your egos.

Yep it is really cool for Riverside. Those teams a few years ago were really fun to watch. Public school kids can in fact start and play for National Champion contenders.

it's funny that McLean is worried about next year's Langley team, rather than this year's Madison team, who will destroy McLean tomorrow night if Mclean comes out for the region championship daydreaming about Langley in 2025. But don't worry, next year's Langley team will be just fine. Their best defender will be a senior, #8 is on pace to surpass #2 in career scoring, they will have a three year starter returning in goal, the best FOGO in the district (by far), who is also a great offensive middie in his own right, and plenty of other good players returning.

Hey guys, wanted to pitch an outlook on next years liberty district contenders. I know the state championship this year is yet to come but next year might look entirely different than this year for most teams. For one Langley is losing their best attack man number 2 with an already weak defense, McLean is loosing their entire defense number 20,21,22 and will rely solely on number 3 for production, Yorktown is loosing almost their entire defense except for one of their LSM and one d mid- yorktown will be loosing its entire close D and will rely on number 37 for production. Any predictions for next year…

Yorktown parent here. Coach beer is easily the best coach in the liberty district, the juniors trust in him and I believe Yorktown will be a state contender next year.
