Dr Ford is a national hero with a million dollar go fund me, I think. Plus, the speaker circuit awaits. I hope she completes the healing process.

I suspect she will disappear into obscurity. The Democrats no longer have any use for her. The women's groups no longer have any use for her. So she will be dropped like a hot potato. She was never used to try to find justice or to stop something terrible from happening, but purely as a political ploy by people who did not care about finding the truth.

Further, the risk of trying to stay public is that it increases the likelihood her story will unravel under closer inspection, the way it was starting to in the last few days before the confirmation. I'm of the opinion that something did happen to her, but not in the way she remembered and probably actually happened when she was in college. It would explain many of the gaps and inconsistencies ranging from her unusual failure to remember things like how she got home from the party, the failure of her good friend and classmate to remember the party, the differences between what she told her therapist and what she said to the Senate committee, and the strange refusal of her parents and siblings to publicly support her, all which strongly implies that this party did not happen, at least the way she described it. Nonetheless, the best thing is for people to move on.

This exactly. Plus, her polygraph crossed out "early" 80s and just left the more general "80s."

What I wonder is if she knows she lied and switched the date to 1982 knowingly or in her fervor to stop a conservative SCOTUS, she convinced herself that this really happened the way she testified.

Guess we will never know since it will never be investigated.

Doesn’t matter anymore. Doubt Congress would impeach. And if you don’t investigate him you can’t investigate her.

Well,to be fair, she needs a lot for security.

She is still getting death threats.

This! The speaker circuit really? She wanted obscurity and screaming liberals dragged her before the senate and got her death threats. She goes on a speaking tour and we’re going to learn even more about how unbalanced she is and her sh$tshow of an allegation. And maybe more about the Democrat plot to overthrow the kavanaugh confirmation. She will never go on a public speaking tour.

Well apparently these fears didn't prevent Julie Swetnick from going public with her lies about BK participating in gang rape.

Brett was cancelled at Harvard and this must have really been humiliation for him. Former Dean of Yale Law School excoriating him. If any first tier law school ever invites him to speak there will be screams of "rapist and liar.". Poor little Mr. Associate Justice Kavanaugh is now a prisoner of his Supreme Court Chambers, just like Clarence Thomas.

Anita Hill invalidates your point. People still remember her and her struggle 25 years later.

SO if she doesn't go on a speaking tour it's because Democrats have tossed her aside and that she's unbalanced. But if she does go on a speaking tour - what? She is a publicity, money-seeker grub? Got it.

She's a mere footnote, not a major figure. The point of obscurity is still relevant. Clarence Thomas is an untouchable justice. Blasey Ford will never be completely forgotten (impossible) but politically speaking she will fade into obscurity. This is certainly helped by that she apparently wanted to remain anonymous. People hoping that she will try to build a career on the lecture circuits are likely going to be disappointed because in a way she has more to lose the longer she remains in public (her story is problematic as the other post pointed out, and unlike Anita Hill, she gave too many details that have been refuted and denied by third parties).

Dr Blasey Ford will be fine. Academia is very liberal, and her experience will only give her more credibility in her chosen field. If she chooses to go the speaker route, she’d be a great spokesperson for whatever cause she chooses. We’ve seen that she can hold her own under pressure and she speaks and presents very well.

She has her credentials to fall back on and job security. If she chooses to remain in the public eye she will be well received.

BS. We will never the truth because it was never investigated.

They are never believed. Rape and sexual assault are not treated with the gravity that they should be.
