DP. Exactly. RR (and BL) were the ones texting utterly bizarre things. "I adore you, Justin." (RR) |
Don’t forget RR’s describing his perineum. |
Agreed. DP |
And all of this is in WRITING. |
If Justin Baldoni was the director of this movie, why was Blake Lively calling the shots? |
This, exactly. I didn't really have any opinion on Blake Lively / Ryan Reynolds before all of this, and I had never heard of Justin Baldoni. But anyone reading those bizarre and inappropriate texts would immediately conclude that BL/RR were stepping WAY over the line of propriety and JB was trying to keep it more or less professional. That's all I'm going by - those texts. And the video of them dancing where she insisted he was sexually harassing him, and it turns out there was nothing like that happening. I do wonder how Jamey Heath (someone else I had never heard of) responded to the claims that he entered BL's trailer while she was topless and then didn't leave? Can anyone summarize that so I don't have wade through this thread to find out? TIA! |
Oh wow - these clothes are hideous! DP https://magnoliapearl.com/ |
DP. You mean the exact way BL and RR did to him FIRST?? He's supposed to just let them railroad him with fake accusations and do nothing to defend himself or fight back? Spare us all! |
Like in the movie, the models are wearing like 5 oversize layers of clothing. Bizarre. |
Interesting. For those old enough to get the reference….at least he won’t be a starstruck Lance Ito! |
Ummmm maybe because these kinds of cases are super expensive and you dont want to waste your money on an attorney who doesn’t have a proven track record in this area. And the lies that Heard told and her pathology definitely have some parallels in this case. Feminism doesn’t mean protect women who are doing evil. It sometimes has to mean exposing fakes so that other women don’t fall prey. As someone else pointed out, the film already had a female screenwriter. She can’t have been too happy to learn that RR rewrite her rooftop scene and BL passed it off as her work. JB is doing all women a favor by exposing this deception and behind-the-scenes strong-arming. |
Yeah i can't deny how odd it is to see the same thing that happened to Amber happen again. I am going to at least wait to see how Blake responds. |
In the hindsight of what we know now—which is that the trainer then disclosed this to Blake and Ryan, then yes it really wasn’t the best way for him to gtt st this info. But from JB’s point of view, BL had connected him with this trainer so JB and the trainer had a working relationship. And in the course of discussing his concerns about what his body can/cannot handle, JB asked the trainer if he knew how much BL weighed. It’s kind of reasonable for JB to expect that the trainer wouldn’t immediately go tattling to BL about that. It’s not like the trainer and JB were just idly gossiping about her weight! It was actually relevant to what he could do in filming and he was mapping it out with the trainer! She’s a gorgeous woman (which she knows and which JB affirmed many times when she was fishing for compliments via text) but still so insecure that she had to go ballistic about JB discreetly trying to find out this info without asking her directly. Just ridiculous! |
It’s a little late in the thread to be this uninformed. But basically she was love bombing JB from the beginning with flattery and “we are creating somethjng beautiful” talk, and had a plan to insert herself into the move as a producer. She took over wardrobe, flattered her way into “re-writes” for a scene that she wanted to “take a stab at” just to make it “more spicy”….and JB may have allowed it for a bit longer and more than he really wanted to because when you have curated your identity as a “male feminist” then you don’t really want to be accused of shutting out the female lead or of making her unhappy. So essentially he and his team would just try to placate her and when they would give the slightest pushback, she would escalate her antics, and eventually convinced (via coercion) them to let her in the editing room. And then leveraged the writers strike timing and her and RRs relationship with Sony to get more and more control. It is rumored that RR did a lot of this with Deadpool (basically the same playbook) where you just inch by inch take on a bit more than the acting role for which you are hired, and then once it reaches a certain threshold of involvement with different arenas of filming and production, they have to give you a producer credit. This is why BL was getting herself so involved in wardrobe, dialogue writing, casting, song choice/music, all of it. But she was only hired on as an actress. It was just a massive overstep and her star power was too big to say no without risking offending her. The biggest unforced error here is that supposedly Wayfarer productions allowed production and filming to start without having an actual SIGNED contract from Blake. So when she started to suggest that she may not promote the film if she didn’t get to edit, they had no leverage. All the leverage was hers. It certainly does not appear accidental. |
^allegedly, of course. But that’s the way it appears when reading through the very detailed timeline of events and actions and text messages that JBs team has made public |
