Agreed - Ben looks bad, like he’s hungover. Dark circles under his eyes, puffy face. Why are they walking around Paris, again? Plenty of celebrities go to Paris and other cities and enjoy the sites, they do it more discreetly. Ben looks miserable.

It’s so weird. I’ve been rooting for Jenn and Ben but this just seems like an icky publicity stunt … and makes me wonder if this marriage will last.

What will last longer- Ben’s sobriety or their marriage?

There are plenty of places where they could have vacationed in private. If the paps are following them, then they made the choice that this is okay.

I do want to correct some misperceptions here. Ben is not a "Boston bro' as much as he comes off that way.
His mother is from high society.

Yea guys, if Ben and Jen didn't want the cameras following them, they wouldn't. It's not 2004 anymore. Now that social media has exploded, there is much less reason for the paps to follow celebs all the time. It is very easy to be discrete. They clearly alerted people and they crave and want this kind of attention. The problem is that you can't fully control it, so when Ben is passed out in the middle of the day they catch that too. Doesn't bode well.

He's not attractive at all. I'm not sure what she sees in him. agree he looks puffy and hungover, but i doubt jen would allow him to drink around her. One of the advantages of him being with her is that she provides an alcohol free space for him since she doesn't drink. he definitely married up--she's way too gorgeous for him.

They clearly wanted to promote happy blended family PR. I feel bad for the kids, must suck to have all those photogs in their faces. I think they keep their earbuds in so they can't hear the sometimes nasty things paparazzi say. It occurred to me that, unlike Violet, we don't see Sera acting affectionately or happily with the two grownups only with Emme. Whereas there are lots of those kinds of pics with her mom. Of course I wouldn't be speculating if these fools didn't parade their kids around like they are.

He looks good—anyone criticizing has not traveled with four kids during a heat wave. He needs sunglasses—that’s how most stars avoid this criticism. The bright sun glare plus paparazzi flash is cruel on the under eyes.

This is not true. I know someone who grew up with Ben and Casey. Ben's mother was an elementary school teacher, his father was an unemployed alcoholic, and he and Casey went to public school. They lived in a regular modest home.

Ben’s mom attended Harvard but that does not mean the family was affluent. I think Ben is a typical middle class Boston bro, though his mom’s education and intelligence clearly had an influence.
