Option E puts Westfield at 61% capacity. Maybe the Centreville folks would rather move to Chantilly than Westfield, but it’s nothing short of offensive to float this option.

It leaves South Lakes untouched.
It leaves Oakton at full capacity plus.
It makes no sense.

Lee's Corner school is just across 50 from Chantilly. Some students are not far from Western, but closer to Chantilly.

This is to get Meren on board. I've been saying she wants to keep Hunter Mill at South Lakes.

Option A is the best and most reasonable.

Option A plus including the rest of Floris ES at Western to eliminate the split would be the best option.

They need to leave some kids at Westfield.

Nothing makes more sense than moving Crossfield to Western. It is the most obvious of all the boundary decisions. FCPS needs to make common sense decisions.

Westfield is the school that is changing the most students in any proposal and none of their parents are out making a spectacle of themselves in public.

Agree.

The Floris students not going to Western under Option A are from SLHS, so it wouldn’t impact Westfield’s numbers.

I don't think the RIO people made the website but they are all too happy to quickly vote for Option E because it leaves them out. They couldn't care less what happens to any other school as long as they aren't affected.

If/when the commenting tool comes up, and if Option E stays the way it was, people need to flood the comments saying how bad it is. Completely unfair to Westfield and to people close to Chantilly who would be moved all because a PTO mom with too much time on her hands is busy sucking up to the school board and whoever else at FCPS she can get on the phone.

Hate to break it to you but there's a whole bunch of crossfield advocates, not just one.

Well you might find there's a whole bunch of people now willing to get a lot more vocal when they see a ridiculous proposal created just to appease you.

Why do they keep not including the Floris kids that go to SLHS? The latest map makes zero sense. These kids are literally right down the street from the new school. Obviously Meren has her hands in this to protect South Lakes.

Easy answer: Meren

It's not a real map folks. Even FCPS wouldn't bungle something that bad and release a URL with a 1,000 seat Westfield, especially when they've publicly stated they aren't looking at Western Maps again until February. RIO cooked this up

Sorry who is RIO?

The Crossfield parents who want to stay at Oakton. They might be drawing their own maps to keep their kids at Oakton and apparently empty Westfield while keeping Chantilly crowded.

Right. It’s definitely from FCPS/Thru but probably was halfway done and someone accidentally published it. I can imagine as they are putting scenarios together it shows the changes in numbers in real time, and this one was still in progress. Oopsie! Sounds about right for how competent Thru has shown themselves to be!

Then stop complaining and advocate for yourselves.
