She’s not sick. There is no bag. King may not even have cancer - they are trying to deflect on the scrutiny that is inevitable as the dissolution negotiations go on and she’s phased out of royal life.

I think she likely is sick. Or was, and did in fact have a procedure done that required a hospital stay. I think it would be too hard to fake that, and also it would be way too risky for the RF to claim she was having surgery done if she wasn't.

But I also think something else is badly amiss and they were using the surgery and recovery to conceal it, but it went wrong. Either because Catherine is not participating in the ruse, or because the other issues are so embarrassing/upsetting that the palace has made a bunch of unforced errors in an effort to keep them under wraps.

This. She likely did have a minor surgery completed (maybe a removal of something?) from which she recovered quickly. The larger issue is the failure of W&C's marriage. Likely a huge deal because King Charles' prognosis is worse than they are letting on and the idea of William taking the throne as a divorcee with no queen consort could be disastrous. RF has been banking on the W&C love into the next generation. This is about to collapse. Kate is likely seeking terms for her cooperation the next few years. God knows if she can ever really step aside entirely. What would a William coronation look like without a (beloved) wife?

I'm not ready to assume this is related to them splitting up (I think something is definitely up but just think we need to wait and see).

However, I was perusing their official instagram page yesterday because of the photo fiasco and I have to say, just scanning the grid for the last couple months versus just last year when Kaye was well and in public-- her absence is just glaring and depressing.

I think especially after having QEII as matriarch for so long, and the emphasis they placed on family and projecting an image of family connection and loyalty (if not warmth) throughout her reign, the absence of Catherine AND the kids from their public life is very deeply felt. When it's just William, it feels cold and almost meaningless. It highlights the silliness of his role.

They need Catherine. And the kids. It doesn't work without them and I think if they split, it spells something very bad for the RF.

Almost all of the public support for the monarchy is anchored in the love for William and Kate. The couple's popularity has single handedly brought the RF back from the brink of disaster. Kate's absence would likely signal an overwhelming loss of public support. And with Charles very sick, she is likely lobbying for conditions. Her family maneuvered to put her in that position and it is telling that she is back with mom/dad now. This is a business transaction and they're getting better terms. I cannot imagine her getting out entirely. She likely won't for the kids - at least until they are adults.

This gives me Katie Holmes vibes.

Use the media to cause chaos and confusion - the more unstable he looks, especially without her, the more leverage she will have. The more she withholds her presence and assistance, the better off she’ll be.

My theory is that William and Kate’s marriage has been suffering for a long time (his doing.)

He dumped her and the kids in Adelaide cottage in Windsor, while living a solo life at Kensington palace in London. Things have been strained. Kate, after years of playing the dutiful wife and mother, got a side piece - Thomas Kingston. Possibly connected through Pippa, who once dated him.

Something came to a head at Sandringham over Christmas. Her affair and his played a role. Mostly likely the ambulances on 12/28 were related to Kate, though I suppose possible Charles.

From there there’s a fork - if the ambulances were for Kate, she was either hospitalized for medical or mental reasons. If medical, I believe domestic violence. If mental, I think self harm. If domestic violence, Kate very well may have had surgery and is recovering from injuries. She is estranged from william as she considers her next move. The kids and Charles are also estranged from William. This is a crisis a la Andrew proportions, but worse because William is 1st in line to the throne. If mental, I still think Kate is considering her next moves. her disappearance is a bargaining chip. I posted earlier that both of her siblings were pictured on vacation in January and February, and didnt seem visibly distressed. This is less aligned with DV and more with Kate having had enough. Whatever was going on was not shocking to them. This is also aligned with serious surgery being a cover up and no one visiting Kate at the hospital.

If the ambulances were for Charles, Kate and William still had some kind of breaking point over Xmas. She is refusing to appear and that is all the more leverage without Charles in the picture. The palace announced her absence first to detract from Charles health news.

Something is very much connected with Thomas kingstons recent death and William pulling out of an event that same day.

Now Kate still refuses to appear. TKs death has probably made this worse. I hope she is alright. This is uncharacteristic of her and I 100% am team Kate here.
