Hamas are their friends and their source of funding of sorts . The UN school administrators speak fondly of Gazans and no doubt get some of the Qatari money and other supplies from Hamas. Many UN headquarters in Palestinian territory were bombed by Israel, and you’re surprised they don’t want to hold hands with Israel? The UN has their friends just like the US and Europe has their friends.

The problem is Hamas knows how to appeal to foreign entities very well (UN, Qatar, even the US) especially during times of war . Israel unfortunately plays right into Hamas’ trap each time which is to make Israel look worse and Hamas look like the victim

Earlier on this thread, someone suggested and then doubled down on the idea that criticism of the IDF— even repeating reports verified by the Israeli or U.S. governments— should be a crime in the United States. I think it’s fair to say there are people who want Americans to be afraid of criticizing Israeli policies.
