If life begins at conception why are embryos destroyed willy nilly at IVF clinics and

No One Cares

Supposedly, the Catholic church cares and ivf is forbidden. But I have yet to meet an infertile Catholic couple that pays ant attention to that teaching whatsoever. It's very pick and choose with what catholic reproductive doctrines are embraced, and what are ignored.

PP you are responding too, I'm less worried about the Church, more politicians. Why are they so in love with the in-utero but no compassion for babeeze imprisoned in petri dishes? It's almost like... the sanctity of life isn't really the point....

DP who conceived via IVF. Actually, there’s a subset of politicians and “pro-life” groups who are advocating for very strict control over, if not outright banning of, procedures associated with IVF. I follow several of the national infertility organizations online (namely Resolve and ASRM), and they are trying to encourage advocacy and awareness as to how some of these new laws and policies will impact the infertility community.
I know of couples in TX and LA who are trying to get their embryos transferred to other locations.

Oh honey, other locations won't help them unless its Canada with a national ban Rs will be rolling out

+1 I don’t think people are letting themselves grasp what the GOP is going to do if they win.

“Of the two neighboring organizations, only Planned Parenthood provides medical services such as Pap smears, birth control and STD treatments.

But the crisis pregnancy center is the one receiving money from the state government. Ohio has funneled nearly $14 million in taxpayer funds to the center and others like it over the last decade, according to government records – even as state leaders have cut funding that previously went to Planned Parenthood for programs such as breast and cervical cancer screenings.

Ohio isn’t alone. More than a dozen states devote some of their budget to funding crisis pregnancy centers, a CNN review found. About half of those states distribute federal money intended to help needy families to the centers.

Some of the organizations that receive money have been accused of spreading abortion misinformation or using the funds to advocate anti-abortion causes instead of helping women.”

So much life in the GOP, making sure poor women’s cancer diagnoses come later and are more likely to be fatal. But sure, no health care is compromised when women are second class citizens.

You’d think they’d be on here to refute this but they’re not.

“The legislation would direct the secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services to carry out a federal public health campaign to help people obtain abortion services without violating the Hyde Amendment — a decades-old policy that bars federal funding from paying for abortions.

The bill would direct HHS to set up a national campaign to promote resources on where and how to obtain abortion care, medication abortion, and a patient’s right to travel across state lines to get the procedure. The measure would also call on the Biden administration to provide guidance on how to differentiate between abortion providers and crisis pregnancy centers — often faith-based organizations that counsel people against having abortions, many of which have been accused of spreading medical misinformation — and to “identify misinformation regarding abortion and related health services intended to deceive, or to discourage individuals from accessing such services.”

I’m glad someone is finally focusing on those lying forced birther centers that lie and trick women and girls.

They think they’re safe because they’re old, but the next generation of forced birther hypocrites is going to have to resort to pills, and if they don’t work, the back alley.

Because we are not allowed to use taxpayer dollars to fund abortions. JFC.

They have two different missions. The crisis pregnancy center is a Catholic organization dedicated strictly to help women who are pregnant. They don’t have to push abortion. The myth that Federal money is not spent on abortion is just that.

Don’t you get it yet? They are fine with men deciding to end pregnancies. Men get to choose.
