i thought that in the airport scene in the beginning, Shane tells that couple that its his wife that died?

we've been watching this the whole time, wondering who kills her or how she dies?

but i could be wayyyy off after reading this thread!

its a good series. the actors are all great. so unsettling.

He never said that it was his wife. He just told them he was there on his honeymoon and confirms that someone died. IMO in that scene he didn’t act like someone who recently had a loved one die.

No, the couple asked him where his wife was and he tell s them to F off. He never said she died.

This is correct. He never said his wife died. When they asked about her up he told them to F off and then he got up and walked away.

I was thinking about this too, if it were her that died I would think he'd be really torn up. Instead he seemed confused and angry.

Except he's so narcissistic - and if he's the one who killed her - but I get you. We went back and fast forwarded through first episode - and nowhere in that episode did they say it was the newlywed wife.

Yup it is vague in the first episode. Shane seems irritated and in a “how did this happen to me” mindset but not grieving Rachel or especially his mother.
