My DS's name always shows up on these threads. But it's never shown up on the too popular, teen mom or stripper name threads so I guess pick your poison on DCUM.

Lol! Same.

Well, threads about teen moms ( who are boys) and stripper sons are very rare, so don't pat yourself on the back too hard.

I meant names with creative spellings that a teen mom would use, not names of teen moms. Though it's technically a name that can be used for either gender so I get bonus DCUM hate points for that too!

My kid has a name that is both "too popular" and screams "I'm better than you!" according to DCUM, which is impressive. I'm somehow both basic AND superior. Fun!

The combo of those two elements is strivery. You are trying to be superior but failing bc you are basic.

My child has a double name, after two women (not my mother) who essentially raised me. It was my way of honoring their memory. I didn't mean for it to be pretentious, but I think some people view it as such.

I’m from the Deep South. Most people - especially girls - have double names. It’s not pretentious. I’m Anna Beth (Anna Elizabeth). No one calls me just Anna. In what world could that name possibly be pretentious? My kids have double names as well.

My parents were Southern. They always called us by "FirstName MiddleName." We just use our FirstName at school and work, though

The truth is: I do think I'm better than you AND I'm a little basic and won't deny it

hahahah what. I come from a white working class area where most people don't even know what a WASP is and Hunter, Mason, Taylor, Cooper, Carter, Tanner, and Hunter are ubiquitous in my hometown. Usually the brothers of Paisley, Payton, Madison, Brooklyn, Nevaeh etc.
