I’m from the Deep South. Most people - especially girls - have double names. It’s not pretentious. I’m Anna Beth (Anna Elizabeth). No one calls me just Anna. In what world could that name possibly be pretentious? My kids have double names as well.

Wow. Lot of very insecure people on this thread! Everyone should be named Bill or Emma. I personally hate Emma as it sounds like a baby learning to talk but whatever.
