Totally losing track of where we are at this point.
Does this mean that games/scrimmages are allowed now? Or they will be when we hit the next phase? |
games and scrimmages are allowed. But only with teams from DC, Maryland and VA. No tournaments. |
Is it posted anywhere? |
|
Anyone understands what the below statement means?
“x. Play and games with teams from outside of Maryland, Virginia, or the District of Columbia is prohibited.“ Does this mean they don’t allow any MoCo teams (ie BSC, Potomac, etc.) from playing games with teams from PA, NJ, etc. no matter where the game is played? |
^ I forgot to add. If the statement means as I indicated above, that means MoCo teams can’t play EDP & ECNL league games. |
On the county website, the executive order 98-20 states it. |
Here it is: https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/COUNCIL/Resources/Files/2020/ExecutiveOrder08212020.pdf?fbclid=IwAR3u0PV-V_68PLln6F4YD-XdmPd5qIVbYzslHNSwTzRJuX5gNIDGOsMyIm4 |
I read it as tens from outside DC, MD and VA are not permitted to play in MoCo. |
It didn’t really said that. I guess we will find out with the updated schedule from ECNL & EDP soon. |
I read it has both ways. Cannot play with non- DMV teams regardless of location. |
That is how I read it too. |
|
it prohibits HOSTING events from teams outside of the DMV.
|
That’s how I read it as well hence the reason I posted that question. If this assumption holds true, then ENCL & EDP will have to rearrange a lot of games. If this works out, could it start a paradigm shift towards ECNL & EDP games within a 1.5 hour drive in post-COVID? It would be awesome. |
ECNL and EDP games are already "around" max 1.5 hours. Basically, Bethesda wont be able to host ECNL games at their MOCO fields. Doesnt affect the other maryland ECNL teams. Theyre going to change all of ECNL/EDP because of a few teams? lol |
