Holderness Family

Fun to see them on the Amazing Race S33 too!

I’ve really enjoyed watching them on TAR but out of all the couples they seem to always be aware of the camera and often look straight at it and over act. I guess that is just who they are.

Yes I thought so too and was a bit irritated with that contrived self consciousness -/ but they seem to learn fast and won the last challenge before the show was postponed due to COVID. At first, I thought their Scottish folk song and dance performance was so dodgy - until I saw everyone who came after them and realized they were by far the best. Must be hard to learn and perform on the fly.

It will be interesting to see how they do as so many couples on the Amazing Race melt down into tantrums and melodrama when one can’t read maps or interpret clues incorrectly … so far, they treat each other with respect and humor.

I hope they continue to do well and I will be rooting for them as they have made me smile often during the Pandemic.

They certainly seem to be getting the “nice couple” edit. I suspect that if they’re at all polite the crew likes them because they don’t freak out all the time. They are also older, were former journalists, and don’t seem as clueless. In their podcast Kim says that they made the decision to prioritize their relationship over the race and to just deal with whatever comes up. I don’t know how much money they make off of,YouTube- I don’t recall them doing sponsorships- but they have to be doing okay, so they’re not really doing this for the money. So far none of the couples are getting on my last nerve, and no one’s ox is broken.

The Holderness Family earns an estimated $5.59 million a year.
Many fans ask how much does The Holderness Family earn?

Each month, The Holderness Family' YouTube channel attracts around 93.15 million views a month and around 3.1 million views each day.

If a channel is monetized through ads, it earns money for every thousand video views. Monetized YouTube channels may earn $3 to $7 per every one thousand video views. If The Holderness Family is within this range, Net Worth Spot estimates that The Holderness Family earns $372.59 thousand a month, totalling $5.59 million a year.

Net Worth Spot may be using under-reporting The Holderness Family's revenue though. Optimistically, The Holderness Family could possibly earn as high as $10.06 million a year.

They don't care if you think they are cringe....

WTH? these people earn over $5M for making parody song videos? holy crap. I guess I'm naïve how much these youtubers are raking in. I like them, although I do find her annoying. Love Penn and he is the brains behind the songs, which are great. Plus their Peloton parody really got me.

I wonder how many people they employ?

I’d watch the amazing race anyway, but I’m enjoying seeing them and liking their podcast about it.

I tried to watch their recap podcast but found them boring, repetitive and all over the place. I enjoy hearing the back story but they should be half the length.

I was at Maryland from 1995-1999. There were two coed acapella groups, one all-male and one all-female. They had all been around for a while.

Spoiler alert: Penn and Kim won the Amazing Race!

Wasn't Spam Fest the acapella festival at UMCP? At my (different) state school there were also 4-5 acapella groups in the 90s.

I'm so excited for them!

My son and I loved watching the race together.

It was awesome! My son and I watch it together too although he's in one state and I'm in another and we text all during the show. I would have been okay with Raquel and Cayla winning too, they turned out to be a really strong team, but I admit I was rooting for Penn and Kim all the way, mostly because they are relatively old. But they are also in great shape, did great prep, and are pretty darn smart.

Surprised/ not surprised that they won. I do think this season was watered down somewhat due to Covid restrictions. No long haul traveling or trying to maneuver through non European countries and shorter roadblocks. I’m happy for them but I wonder if they would have been able to pull off the win during a non Covid season. It was getting a little repetitive hearing about the ADHD and anxiety every leg but that could have been the editing.

I had never heard of this couple before the Amazing Race, and was fully prepared to hate them based in their description as "YouTube Stars."
Yet by the end, I was rooting for them. They were pleasant to everyone and raced hard.

I thought they were setting it up for a Racquel and Cayla win. I would have been happy with any of the teams winning but slightly more than the Holderness family did.

There were 13 at Princeton in the 90s.

What a refreshing change this season due to none of the teams being nasty jerks or fighting with each other. I don't know anybody who likes that, I hope they try to avoid teams or individuals like that in future seasons.

I absolutely love them and am so happy that they won. I really do think it’s hard for Kim with her anxiety. She was incredibly brave during the amazing race. They set such a great example for everyone. They are supportive, kind and just adore their kids.
