You are obnoxious. No one is going to pay OOS prices to go to GT when UMD is right here for a 1/3 of the price in state. Who cares if it is "only" 13th instead of 2nd out of hundreds of schools. They have NASA close by, buoyancy tank, wind tunnels, and Clark just donated another 220 million dollars to the engineering school. And who cares if it is general education school. That is great if you want more diverse options for electives, or to take minor in something else besides technical. Or maybe if you decide you want to switch majors to a non-technical, you won't have transfer to a different college. Many you just don't want to be around all nerdy technical people in one place.
Not bashing Georgia Tech at all, but they give terrible merit and aid. Great option for instate for sure, but full price when MD and VA both have great instate engineering programs? No way. |

One of the only schools my daughter is applying to that doesn't have her number 1 major. She just absolutely loved it there and we visited when it was cold and snow on the ground.
I think Case Western is pretty popular these days. Kids seem to be trending towards schools in nice parts of urban areas that give free transportation around the city. Case and Pitt do that. More kids seem to want to branch out of just hanging on campus and depending on frat row to socialize. |
