In contrast, look at Democratic FLOTUS's -- Ivy League law school degrees, very informed on the issues, active in high-powered careers. Yes, I think that's admirable because they got there through hard work and brain power. Broke barriers for other women and in MO's case, minorities. They reflect the best parts of the American dream.

Normally I would say that the spouse of the president should be someone to look up to and that Melania would not fit the bill. But now I have to question my own statement because Bill Clinton's affairs/conduct are not behavior I would want in the spouse of a President either. So Melania has posed nude, but we got to know all of the salacious details of Bill and Monica Lewinsky in the White House. I would be a hypocrite for saying Trump is not a viable candidate because of his wife's conduct from 20 years ago as exactly the same could be say about Hillary/Bill -- we are just imposing a higher standard that the first spouse must be morally perfect if she is a lady but that is not necessary if the first spouse is a man.

She hasn't done anything unethical in the sense of hurting anyone. But FLOTUS is not just any woman, and higher standards apply to women in this position, just like higher standards are expected of POTUSes. No one needs to know what FLOTUS looks like naked, and visiting dignitaries don't need to think of these pictures while meeting her.

Speaking five languages isn't anything special - you don't actually know how much of them she speaks. She's uneducated enough to feel the need to lie about how much education she received.

And please, don't be ridiculous. No one in her position is overworked. She is on record for having a personal assistant, chef and nanny. I don't think her life is anything in common with the lives of most women on DCUM.

Who cares? Why is this an issue? She is a former model and that's what she's known for - her looks and body. While she may not take on some political or social project, she'll host some phenomenal parties!

No, Bill Clinton sexually harassed women most of his political career. It's not "private." It's shameful. I still voted for him b/c he was the better candidate.

I don't think Ken Starr should have gone on the crazy witch hunt b/c although disgusting not impeachment worthy or worth the tax-payer money. And truly the real victim in private and in public was Monica Lewinsky. Bill came up pretty much unscathed, but she had her life completely derailed for a political vendetta.
