+1 My next car will be a Camry. Safe, reliable, lots of nice features, lasts forever, and very well priced. (Plus, their 2018s look pretty nice.) I am one cool chickadee! |
My car is 17 years old and I have a net worth of $1 million plus. Maybe it's because I'm smart with money and don't throw it away on a new car every few years. |
Ford Escape= "I bought American 'cause i love 'Murica. Excuse me while I call my mechanic for the 13th recall since I bought this POS" |
I've gone that route in the past (my last car was a Camry), but now I spend 2 hours a day in my car. Why shouldn't that be in something that is fun to drive? For me, that means: stick shift, good sound system, moon roof, decently zippy handling. Upgrading my car changed my commute from barely tolerable to comfortable and enjoyable. It has nothing to do with looking cool. |
Didn't get that memo. All cash buyer. |
PP who's planning to buy a Camry here: if you want something cool to drive (I don't even know how to drive a stick) and spend a lot of time in your car, have at it. It all depends on what you're looking for in a car. I'm in a 4-person carpool and drive only about 6000 miles a year, and all I want is a safe, reliable, comfortable way to get from Point A to Point B. A Camry fits the bill. |
we live in the boston suburbs-most asians seem to drive BMW and/or Honda-usually one of each. I have two close Asian friends-one Korean and one Chinese and we laugh about it a lot...not that I have anything to brag about. I drive a Sienna. |
Tons of Subaru Outbacks where I live. I thought they were hippie mom cars. Lesbian is a step up and makes me feel cooler! I take that as a compliment. |
It's a N. Arlington mom car. Lee Harrison shopping center sometimes looks like a Subaru dealership. |
