No. It is because people think if they find some fault, this will not happen to them. Life sucks. |
Nowhere, till the investigators reconstruct the case. |
+1. It's just about doing something to help. Even if the family is financially solid, accounts and trusts will need to be transferred to her, lawyers may be needed for that - at age 15, she doesn't have quick access. Not to mention, right now she's in no physical or mental condition to deal with all that so it's likely that next of kin will just step up and start paying - this money will likely go to them for immediate expenses for Helena and her parents and brother and this way, they won't need to "collect" from her when she does get access to funds -- not saying they would if they are financially solid -- but I have to believe bills will start arriving right away from the auto insurance deductible to hospital premiums to whatever else. |
| Is her extended family from the DMV? I don't how this poor kid will ever emotionally recover from this. I keep thinking of all the milestones in her life for which she'll be alone. I wonder if she'll get to stay at her school - or if she'd want to - or if her relatives are located someplace else and she'd have to move there. So sad for this child. |
Curious if you that are donating donated to the families that were killed in the church van in PG county a few weeks ago? |
all of you should feel tremendous shame for feeling the way you do. Please don't contribute, there are others who DO give a shit that will give. gross creatures, all of you
|
| Gosh, the money could go toward paying the immediate expenses of her parents' and brother's funeral for one. And the extra care and therapy she'll likely need for some time. But, by all means, PP, don't you donate. Others will. |
Bumping the change.org petition to get a light installed. |
I did not. I dont know if I will donate to this . I am donating to a similar orphan tragedy that I am personally connected to (know the family) right now. Hearing about this accident at the same time does makes me doubly sad so l may donate to this as well. I haven't sat down and thought it through. Was a child left orphaned in the church van accident PP? Please let me know and if so, post the donation link. Thanks. |
Her grandparents, aunt, and uncle are all local. |
| So, so sad- it's just like the "Should I Stay" book/movie. Hopefully the daughter is able to physically heal and then somehow she is able to deal with such a tragic loss and find some joy in her life. I hope the family has close relatives that will care for her. |
Thank God they are close by so that they could be there for her right away. What an overwhelming loss and situation for all of them. |
| Thinking of our will, I don't think our teenage DD would get access to money right away. We have a financial power of attorney, but it grants it to the surviving spouse. The will details how to set up a trust for any of our minor children, with a trustee authorized to spend on specified expenses.. but it's not like any of that would occur in a matter of days I think -- I'm not sure how long it takes to set up a trust. |
Stop spreading gossip. |
+1 Stop pretending to know what other people said and didn't say. |
