A woman who has been dead for decades? Since we're talking about living people, pick someone alive today to stay relevant. Brittany Mahomes didn't marry a white man, she's not exactly worshipped. Still can't think of anyone. Could it be that women just love to tear each other down regardless of who they are married to? |
Isn't Amal Clooney Lebanese and Druze? Those groups are white. It's not about what color you feel like they should be. |
| I think she's stunning, yes. And that's a compliment. |
š You can keep these high value white men, enjoy. š¤·āāļø |
You're allowed to have preferences, definitely, but there are objective beauty measures too. Beauty isn't necessarily about features in isolation, it's about facial symmetry/harmony. It's why fixing one "bad" feature doesn't necessarily make you beautiful, and in some cases, can make you look worse. Amal's nose is harmonious with her face: her eyes are relatively large, she has a wider jaw (which balances the vertical length) and her eyes are far apart. Same with Julia Roberts, whom many find beautiful. With SJP, there's a lack of harmony, and the small, close-set eyes really emphasize the length of her face. |
DP but color is very much about what people feel they should be. Concepts of race are ephemeral and evolve over time. Most people don't regard Arab Muslims or Latinos as white. But give it time and they will be as white as Greeks and Italians. |
Or she could just form opinions based in the merits of the issues. Like people used to. |
Doubt it especially in the case of Muslims. Muslims and I would say many Arab Christians are like Jews in the sense that even if they are white on the census , they donāt consider themselves white or identity as white because they are religious and or ethnic minorities |
Don't doubt it. Many Arabs and Hispanics list themselves as white. White has many meanings-- color isn't a fact, it's a perception-- and in formerly colonized nations there are many definitions of white. Even the Nazis had a category of "honorary whites" like Asians. The Nazis used this term to denote people they included in their definition of white despite some attributes that may argue against their whiteness. The more you travel and read history, the less rigid you'll be about issues of race. |
We list ourselves as white because we have no other option. It stems from the "Caucasian" category. But these terms are very reductive and I think are best to be avoided altogether. The Middle East is pretty diverse. |
Because Lebanese people are as White as Greeks and Italians. Syrians, too. I canāt tell them apart. Saudis are darker, sure, but not the Lebanese. They look just like any other Mediterranean people. And a lot like Jews, too. Hmm, I wonder why, lol. Race has nothing to do with āLatino.ā It just means a person whose comes from Latin America. Latino can mean an indigenous person who speaks Spanish or the descendant of a German Nazi fleeing the Nuremberg Trials. |
No, it's not about feelings. We learned from Rachel Dolezal that your feelings are irrelevant. |
Lebanese are officially classified as white by the US government and have been since the early 20th century. Druze are pretty darn white. We are not talking about Gulf Arabs or Pakistanis. |
| She is smoking hot. Scorching. |

I think Amal Clooney is absolutely stunning and striking. I also love how she carries herself with such elegance and grace.
I'm not sure why people are focusing so much on how she wouldn't look the same without makeup and good clothes. Don't we all look better with some styling? Her tall and lean figure and striking features would make her stand out regardless. I think people do have very different standards of beauty. A lot of posters here seem to think that Kate Middleton is the epitome of beauty and I don't see it at all. |
