DP but color is very much about what people feel they should be.  Concepts of race are ephemeral and evolve over time. Most people don't regard Arab Muslims or Latinos as white. But give it time and they will be as white as Greeks and Italians. [/quote]

Lebanese are officially classified as white by the US government and have been since the early 20th century. Druze are pretty darn white. We are not talking about Gulf Arabs or Pakistanis.   [/quote]
