Things that you dislike that most people enjoy

I don't equate Sweet Home Alabama with patriotism. And believe me, if you have ever lived or spent a long time in a country not like the US, you'd be patriotic too. There are things that bug me about the US but I am still patriotic, which I equate to being proud that I am an American and live in this country.

Really? I have spent several years in several different countries. I am a service member but even still not particularly "patriotic" at least as I see it displayed in this country. And I actually some aspects of living in other countries than the American way of life.

I hate the group think of patriotism and of military service as well. I just think people think we need both, so we do. Then old bunch of crackers decide the roll them out for whatever is bothering them on a give day, and peoples' kids, dads, moms pay the price. And almost always, at least in the last 50 years, it hasn't been worth it.

Fancy restaurants. I'm going out with a group of girlfriends tonight at some 'hip' place and I'd totally rather go to the Cheesecake Factory.

You can thank the Army for your freedom to announce that you dislike the Army.

Actully why don't you try spending a few years in the Army and get dicked around a bit. Why don't you bend over backwards for it and then get get screwed in the end. You know why don't you try living the life style and then talk to me about freedom. I've done my time in it. Yes I do love this country and greatful for my freedoms that this country offers. But does the Army really offer much freedom besides group think?

Idiot, for an army or any military force to be effective, there must be discipline. Discipline is why orders are obeyed; it is why one man or woman will risk their lives for their fellow soldiers or for fellow lazy, slimeballs who take advantage of every freedom this country has to offer but sit at home and and gripe and make nasty, snide comments. It is why you are free to be the asshole you are.

I fight for the freedom you enjoy to be a total douche. Why don't you tell me about discipline if you are such an expert about it. You're right I'm an asshole.

Yeah! At long last, you posted something with which we can all agree.
