I can't stand going to the neighborhood pool anyway. I'm an introvert, and having to talk to people I really don't know (or care much for) while the kids play is torture for me.

How did you make your friends, as an adult with children? I don't have any friends at work, if I didn't talk to neighborhood people I'd not have made any new friends in 10 years.

you must be an introvert. We have a vehicle that seats 8, even though we are a family of two adults and only two children. We are forever carting our family, plus one friend for each kid, to different activities.
