What do you think of SuperBowl Halftime?

I liked the music and the vibe. Made me wish I’d kept up my Spanish.

Seemed a bit long to me. Sort of wanted to fast forward through.

Seemed like they took staging to a new level and that will be the standard going forward. It was very well done.

Loved that he included Ricky Martin.

Thought Lady Gaga was out of her element.

The production value was fantastic. Trump showing how absolutely out of touch and clownish he is.

I don’t care about football.

I don’t care about Bad Bunny.

However, I find it sad that this thread is in Politics, and not Entertainment. The only reason it’s here is because MAGA made a snap (or perhaps, calculated) judgment and thus made it political.

MAGA is the problem here.

Remember MAGA Santana played the Super Bowl in 2003 and the majority of the lyrics of his songs are Spanish too.

Oye Como Va?

Bad Bunny is a huge Lady Gaga fan and it's mutual. She wore the national flower of Puerto Rico and colors of the OG PR flag (the light blue rather than dark) made by a Domenican designer from Brooklyn. I thought she was great and looked amazing.

His songs are actually good and not just vehicles for Latin culture. By which I mean bad bunny's songs are more a celebration of Latin culture than original music.

Santana made music, and he was latin which was reflected in his music. Bad bunny's whole personality is as a Latin musician and that limits his originality.

I feel like the Daytime shows have to get creative with the sets and costumes since they don’t get to play with the lighting as much.

This only applies to his last album. I think he does stay closer to Latino genres but I don’t think that makes it unoriginal.

I loved it, but I am a salsaholic and a Zumba instructor, so am heavily biased. My classes have been jamming to BB all year like we do to Ricky, Lady, Shakira and plenty of Latin artists. I don't know how anyone can pout or be still near a salsa rhythm! LOVED the messages of love and togetherness. So refreshing after all the ape and piggy talk.

Liam and his dad, yes.

That is amazing

It wasn’t the actual Liam. It was a child actor. Still, I think the actor was meant to represent Liam

I honestly think it was to represent the artist as a child, and really any child that dreams of success.

I think so too.

Ahh thank you for that background. I didn’t know any of those details. Makes a lot more sense with that context!

Is it ok at Mar a Lago?

No, it’s not good anywhere!!

But dumpy's supporters are not crying about it happening at Mara Lago or on Epstein island. Just at the half time show because they were offended by Bad Bunny singing in Spanish. So odd right because Dumpy loves Andrea Bocelli and all of his lyrics are in Italian-he even performed last year in the Oval Office for dump....so what's the difference? Why all these double standards. I bet even the dumbest of dumps loyalists know the answer to this question.
