For starters, it’s mostly true. But more importantly, it’s tongue in cheek. It’s football. I was at the Wisconsin - Iowa football game where there were banners all over Madison highlight Iowa’s acceptance rate.
This kind of thing has been happening for decades. |
Point proven |
This is totally made up. The corner bars are happy to take visiting teams’ money. The rest of the town doesn’t care. Unlike Blacksburg, Charlottesville doesn’t revolve around football on game day. Most people are doing their usual weekend things there. |
I'm in Charlottesville and went to the game and was at the Corner. This is made up |
You know many kids don’t ever bother with the IG page, right? |
Whoa - is this true? So, so glad my kids did not choose UVA. Just gross. |
Probably. They have always been douches line that. My dad did not want me to go there. He despised “THE University” and all that other BS. We are a STEM family and I chose VT over it because they are better at STEM. Yes- I was accepted to UVA and WM too. |
What kind of flex is this? Wisconsin's acceptance rate is almost 50%, not even close to being that selective. Sad. |
No. Not true. PP fell for a troll post. |
That is so tacky. Just like I was once at a Wake game against someone good (maybe Clemson, can’t remember, I was in HS visiting family) and students were holding up signs saying things like “that’s alright, that’s okay, you’re going to pump our gas one day!” It was so distasteful. |
You are zero fun. |
| Nebraska has the nicest fans. Always respectful. |
I mean, that's pretty distasteful. It's kids being immature. |
|
UVA fans have watched the Cardiac Cavs lose spectacularly, so they know not to talk too much trash.
And yes, the corner bars will happily take money from Hokies or anyone else. |
Yeah, my friend's DC is there and had it on their IG. |
